Live music evenings in the historic gardens of Parcines, amidst the sounds and flavors of South Tyrol
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Garden Beats is the summer concert series that the Municipality of Parcines/Partschins, in the autonomous province of Bolzano (South Tyrol, Trentino-Alto Adige), dedicates to open-air music evenings. The formula is that of a widespread, human-scale festival: a few selected concerts set in historically rich, green locations, where live music engages with the scents and flavors of the region.
The heart of the festival lies in two historic settings of the village, in the Merano and surroundings area:
In both locations, the spirit is the same: sitting outdoors on a mild summer evening, listening to good music, and tasting products from local farms.
The Garden Beats program ranges from world music to South Tyrolean singer-songwriter performances, featuring ensembles and artists often linked to the music scene of Merano and the Burgraviato. Alongside the stage, local farms and agricultural producers handle the food and wine offerings: wines, spirits, and rustic specialties accompany the listening experience, in a blend of culture, tradition, and hospitality typical of South Tyrol.
Artists hosted in past editions include the ensemble Aluna — five voices from Merano with viola, guitars, trombone, and double bass, performing a repertoire of world music — and the South Tyrolean singer-songwriter Sepp Messner Windschnur, as well as groups like LIT. A lineup that prioritizes listening quality and the intimacy of the setting, far from large stages and close to the audience.
Garden Beats is part of a rich summer calendar in the village, which also includes other musical events in local historic gardens. For those visiting the Vinschgau Valley and the Merano area, it is the perfect opportunity to combine a vacation among apple orchards, trails, and irrigation channels (the famous Waalwege) with an evening of quality music in a cozy and authentic context.
The festival typically takes place in summer, between July and August, with evening concerts. The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been officially announced: it is recommended to check the updated program with the Tourist Association of Parcines, Rablà, and Tel.
The return of Garden Beats is also expected for 2026, the concert series in the historic gardens of Parcines/Partschins (South Tyrol). As per tradition, the events are expected to enliven the garden of the Ansitz Gaudententurm in Rablà and the Widum-Garten in the village center in the evening, with live music and specialties from local farms. The dates and line-up for the 2026 edition have not yet been released: the program will be published by the Tourist Association of Parcines, Rablà, and Tel in the weeks leading up to summer.
Parcines/Partschins is located a few kilometers from Merano, at the entrance to the Vinschgau Valley. By car: Bolzano Sud motorway exit (A22), then the MeBo expressway towards Merano and the Vinschgau Valley road (SS38). By train: Merano station, then local bus towards Parcines/Rablà. The Ansitz Gaudententurm garden is located in Rablà, the Widum-Garten in the center of Parcines next to the church.
Concerts are held in the evening (generally doors open in the late afternoon, concert starts around 8:30 PM). For dates, prices, and reservations, please contact the tourist office.
