The Roman evening dedicated to the art of dubbing and the power of the voice
The Fuori Dagli ScheRmi Fest is a cinematic and cultural event held in Rome, within the historic The Space Cinema Moderno on Piazza della Repubblica, in the heart of the capital. The festival was created to showcase the art of dubbing and the extraordinary ability of the voice to bring soul, intensity, and truth to words and stories. It is an appointment designed for cinema enthusiasts, aspiring voice actors, and anyone curious to discover what happens when images remain "off-screen" and only the voice speaks.
The format was created by Lara Citarei, author and producer of Italy's first Storyvoicing, who guides the audience on an emotional journey through the expressive power of the voice. The evening weaves together several moments: storytelling, the written word, and live performance, in a continuous dialogue between those who voice characters and those who listen.
Dubbing is one of the great traditions of Italian cinema, recognized worldwide for its quality and interpretive care. Bringing this craft to the stage, in front of an audience, means revealing its secrets and restoring its charm: the breath, the synchronization, and the emotion conveyed through the timbre. Fuori Dagli ScheRmi Fest thus transforms a cinema hall into a live laboratory, where the voice becomes the absolute protagonist.
The setting is Rome, in the Lazio region, in one of the city's most scenic squares. The central location of Piazza della Repubblica, just a short walk from Termini station, makes the event easily accessible and adds it to the capital's rich autumn cultural offerings. An opportunity to experience cinema from a unique perspective and to get closer to the world of voices that bring the films we love to life every day.
