The Jivamukti Tribe Gathering arrives in Rome
In September 2026, Rome hosts the Jivamukti Tribe Gathering for the first time, the annual traveling festival of the international Jivamukti Yoga community. From September 24 to 27, the Capital becomes a meeting point for practitioners and teachers from all over the world, united by a practice of yoga as a celebration of life and an expression of love and devotion.
Venue: Acquario Romano and Teatro Brancaccio
The heart of the event is the Acquario Romano, a historic 19th-century building in Piazza Manfredo Fanti, in the Esquilino district, now home to the Casa dell'Architettura. This is where asana classes, pranayama and meditation sessions, satsangs, and chanting moments take place. The opening concert is held at the Teatro Brancaccio on Via Merulana, just a short walk away. Both venues are located in Rome, in the Lazio region, in a central, well-connected area rich in history.
What is the Jivamukti method?
Founded in New York by Sharon Gannon and David Life, Jivamukti Yoga is a physically intense yet deeply spiritual style that integrates dynamic asanas, mantra chanting, meditation, the study of scriptures, and a strong ethical commitment to all living beings, including a vegan lifestyle. The Tribe Gathering is the moment when this global community meets in person to practice together.
The Program
The four days alternate between asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, satsang, and chanting, alongside vegan cuisine and social gatherings. It begins on Thursday, September 24, with the afternoon Opening Class, culminating in the evening with a concert by Deva Premal & Miten, renowned performers of mantra music and kirtan. Friday and Saturday feature lessons and workshops led by master teachers, while the closing ceremony takes place on Sunday, September 27, in the early afternoon.
The Teachers
The Roman stage will feature the founders and most authoritative teachers of the method: Sharon Gannon, Jules Febre, Yogeswari, Rima Rabbath, Olga Oskorbina, Anna Lunegova, Magali Lehners, Andrea Kwiatkowski, and numerous Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teachers, joined by special guests such as Joshua Greene and Jamie Logan.

For the first time in its history, the Jivamukti Tribe Gathering chooses Rome as the venue for its annual gathering, from September 24 to 27, 2026. The headquarters is the Acquario Romano, in Piazza Manfredo Fanti in the Esquilino district, while the opening concert is held at the nearby Teatro Brancaccio.

How to get there
The Acquario Romano is located at Piazza Manfredo Fanti 47, in the Esquilino district, a few minutes' walk from Roma Termini station, the city's main railway and bus hub. The nearest metro stop is Vittorio Emanuele (Line A), while Termini is served by both Lines A and B. The Teatro Brancaccio is at Via Merulana 244, within walking distance of the Acquario. Those arriving by plane can land at Rome Fiumicino or Ciampino airports, both connected to the city center by trains and buses.
Tickets
The full four-day pass is sold out: only the waiting list is available. Tickets for the Deva Premal & Miten concert (€49) and individual tickets for some classes and activities remain available. Bookings are handled via the official Tribe app and the online ticketing platform.
Tips
The Esquilino area offers numerous accommodation options near Termini. We recommend bringing your own yoga mat and comfortable clothing, and booking well in advance due to high demand.
