The premier European gathering for mountain bike, gravel, and e-bike enthusiasts on Lake Garda
The FSA Bike Festival Garda Trentino is the benchmark event in Europe for the mountain bike, gravel, and e-bike world. Every spring, Riva del Garda, on the northern shore of Lake Garda in Trentino-Alto Adige, transforms into the capital of fat-tire cycling: a long weekend of races, tests, expos, and parties that draws enthusiasts from across Europe. Launched in 1996 by the German publisher BIKE (Delius Klasing group), the event is now organized in partnership with Garda Dolomiti and stands as an unmissable fixture on the international cycling calendar.
The beating heart of the event is the Expo Area set up at Parco Miralago, overlooking the lake directly. Hundreds of brands showcase their latest innovations, with thousands of bicycles available for test rides along the trails of Garda Trentino. Admission to the expo is free, and the atmosphere is that of a grand popular festival, where the public can test gear, meet champions, and experience the "Riding Freedom" spirit that fuels the festival.
The competitive program is extensive and covers all off-road disciplines:
Beyond the competitions, the festival offers guided tours with MMOVE guides, technical sessions at the Busatte MTB Skill Park, sunrise and sunset rides to the area's best viewpoints, and the now-famous EpicNight Ride, the non-competitive night ride that kicks off the festivities. Evenings are brought to life by DJ sets and beach parties, such as the legendary Bike Festival Party at Spiaggia degli Olivi.
Located at the northern tip of Lake Garda, in the Municipality of Riva del Garda (Province of Trento), the town is one of Italy's most beloved outdoor destinations: a mild Mediterranean climate, mountains plunging into the water, and an endless network of trails make Garda Trentino a year-round paradise for bikers. The festival is the moment this vocation truly explodes, bringing the entire European cycling community to the lakeside.
The 2026 edition, held in Riva del Garda from April 30 to May 3, opened with the EpicNight Ride on Thursday, April 30, a non-competitive night ride with an Epic Line (80 km) and an Easy Line (40 km), finishing on the Torbole waterfront with a DJ set. The competitive program kicked off on Friday, May 1, with the Bosch eMTB Challenge and the eBike Marathon (58.8 km and 2,406 m of elevation gain). Saturday, May 2, was dedicated to the Bike Marathon with its three courses: Ronda Piccola, Ronda Grande, and Ronda Extrema (with a UCI section). Sunday, May 3, featured the grand finale with the MAXXIS Gravel Garda Trentino through villages, vineyards, and scenic gravel roads, alongside the SCOTT Junior Trophy for children aged 3 to 14. The extensive offering of guided tours, technical sessions at the Busatte MTB Skill Park, and sunrise/sunset rides was also confirmed.
By car: A22 Brenner motorway, exit Rovereto Sud/Lago di Garda Nord, then follow SS240 towards Riva del Garda. By train: Rovereto station, then local bus. Nearest airports: Verona Villafranca, Bergamo Orio al Serio, and Brescia.
Admission to the Expo Area is free. Participation in the races (Bike Marathon, MAXXIS Gravel, Bosch eMTB Challenge) requires a fee and online registration on the official website.
Riva del Garda and neighboring towns (Torbole, Arco, Nago) offer numerous accommodation options; booking well in advance is highly recommended due to high demand during the festival.
