A market of excellence in the heart of a fairytale village

From Alabaster to Ginger is the artisan crafts and natural products market that every year, in July, enlivens the historic center of Montechiarugolo, in the province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna. For two consecutive evenings, the cobbled streets of the village, dominated by the famous Montechiarugolo Castle overlooking the Enza Valley, fill with stalls, scents, and colors, transforming into a large open-air stage dedicated to creativity and artisan craftsmanship.

What to expect

The event showcases designer craftsmanship and natural, organic, and genuine products: jewelry, handmade ceramics, wooden objects, herbs, stones, and a thousand combinations of arts and crafts related to the well-being of body and mind, healthy eating, and sustainability. The stalls are set up along the streets of the center, while the refreshment area is located in Piazza Mazzini, right in front of the castle, where you can dine outdoors immersed in the village atmosphere.

A few kilometers from Parma, the event is the ideal opportunity to discover the Parma hills, stroll through the shops, and savor the great local products such as Parmigiano Reggiano and culatello.
