The wine festival of San Pancrazio Salentino
In the heart of Salento, in San Pancrazio Salentino (Brindisi province), the Forum Wine Festival has quickly become one of Puglia's most anticipated wine events. Hosted within the grounds and gardens of the Forum Eventi on Via Taranto, the festival transforms the town into a showcase for the best of Apulian winemaking: over forty wineries, hundreds of labels, guided tastings, and masterclasses led by sommeliers and industry experts.
The festival extends well beyond the main weekend: in the weeks leading up to the event, "wine appreciation evenings" are held—free meetings designed to help participants learn how to identify quality wines and make informed choices. In the most recent edition, these sessions were led by sommelier Mihaela Cojocaru (DipWSET), effectively launching an entire month dedicated to the region's food and wine culture.
The heart of the Forum Wine Festival remains the tasting trail: tasting stands from participating wineries, a selection of national and international labels, and an evening dedicated to premium wines. There are also food areas featuring Salento's culinary excellence, perfect for pairing glasses with local specialties. Over the years, the festival has earned the patronage of the Province of Brindisi, the Municipality of San Pancrazio Salentino, and major protection consortia (Primitivo di Manduria, Salice Salentino DOP, Brindisi DOC), alongside the involvement of the National Association of Women in Wine (Le Donne del Vino) and AIS Puglia.
Every evening concludes with live music. Pizzica and traditional Salento rhythms take center stage: over the years, leading artists from the Apulian music scene have performed, providing a thrilling finale of Mediterranean sounds, tradition, and conviviality under the stars.
San Pancrazio Salentino is located in one of the most renowned viticultural areas of Salento, just a few kilometers from Manduria and the lands of Primitivo. The Forum Wine Festival tells the story of this vocation and brings it to life, offering enthusiasts, professionals, and the curious a chance to discover the great wines of Puglia directly from the producers, in an elegant yet relaxed setting.
The fourth edition of the Forum Wine Festival took place from June 25 to 27, 2026, at the Forum Eventi in San Pancrazio Salentino, in the province of Brindisi. The 2026 edition effectively launched an entire month dedicated to wine culture: in the weeks prior, three wine appreciation evenings were held (Thursday, June 4, 11, and 18, from 8:00 PM), led by sommelier Mihaela Cojocaru (DipWSET), focusing on identifying quality wines and making informed choices.
During the weekend, over forty local and national wineries animated the tasting stands, complemented by masterclasses, food areas, and entertainment. The festival confirmed its "elegant yet convivial" formula, serving as a meeting point for enthusiasts, professionals, and those curious about the world of food and wine.
