The floral and artisanal fair that heralds spring in the cloister of the Certosa Reale in Collegno
When the cloister of the Certosa Reale di Collegno fills with plants, flowers, and fragrances, it means spring has arrived. Follia in Fiore is the floral and artisanal market exhibition that brings this stunning monumental complex to life every March, just outside Turin in the heart of the metropolitan area. The event is promoted by the City of Collegno in collaboration with Orticola Piemonte and has become one of the most anticipated dates on the spring calendar in the Turin province.
It is no coincidence that the fair takes place here: the Certosa Reale, a 16th-century building where Carthusian monks once cultivated medicinal and herbal plants, provides the ideal backdrop for a festival dedicated to greenery. Strolling among the stalls set up in the cloister, with its arches and historical spaces, is an experience that blends nature, culture, and architecture. For one weekend, Via Martiri XXV Aprile 30 in Collegno becomes a meeting point for gardening enthusiasts, curious visitors, and families.
The nearly ninety exhibitors offer a rich assortment, designed for those who love greenery as well as those looking for local products and artisanal creations:
Follia in Fiore is not just about shopping: the program includes workshops for children, book presentations, musical moments, and art exhibitions, making it a pleasant day out for families as well. It is a perfect opportunity to spend a weekend in the open air, treating yourself to a new plant for your balcony or a taste of genuine local products in one of the greenest spots in the Turin metropolitan area.
The 17th edition of Follia in Fiore confirmed the success of the event, with about 90 exhibitors enlivening the cloister of the Certosa Reale in Collegno. Between floriculture, local products, and crafts, visitors were able to choose from roses, flowering plants, succulents, and herbs, as well as taralli, cheeses, cured meats, honey, hazelnuts, and jams.
The event also featured a rich array of side initiatives, designed for all ages to make the visit a complete experience.
Throughout the event: painting exhibition dedicated to Saint Francis and a food area with gastronomic specialties.
