The Swedish tradition of the coffee break becomes a festival in the heart of Levico Terme
In the heart of the historic center of Levico Terme, in the province of Trento and the heart of the Valsugana valley, the Fika Festival celebrates a philosophy as simple as it is revolutionary: stopping. The name comes from fika, the Swedish ritual of taking a break with a good coffee and a pastry, in good company and without haste. Every late summer, the town of Levico Terme hosts this widespread event that invites residents and visitors to slow down and rediscover the pleasure of small things.
The festival comes to life throughout the squares and streets of the center with a themed market featuring selected exhibitors dedicated to wellness, creativity, and the happiness of small things: artisans, creators, and producers from Trentino and beyond fill the city spaces with curated and original offerings.
The Fika Festival is organized by the Consorzio Levico Terme in Centro, with artistic direction by In2ito Marketing and the collaboration of specialty coffee experts. Launched in 2024, the event successfully weaves Nordic imagery with the identity of the Trentino Valsugana, offering dozens of activities including workshops, tastings, and moments of relaxation spread throughout the urban fabric.
In one of the most picturesque corners of Trentino-Alto Adige, just a stone's throw from Lake Levico and the thermal baths, the Fika Festival offers a different way to experience the end of summer: without rushing, without noise, valuing time and relationships. It is an event designed for families, curious souls, and lovers of the good life, where every break becomes a small ritual to share.
The Fika Festival returns to Levico Terme on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, 2026 for its third edition. The formula that has made the event a benchmark for the end of summer in Valsugana is confirmed: a festival spread throughout the historic center dedicated to wellness, creativity, and the Swedish philosophy of fika.
This year, the public will once again be able to enjoy the themed market with selected exhibitors, mindfulness and wellness workshops, cultural meetings on sustainability and the art of living simply, as well as coffee tastings and traditional Swedish pastries. Access to the festival areas is free, while workshops require booking.
The complete calendar with times, list of exhibitors, and bookable workshops will be announced by the Consorzio Levico Terme in Centro on the official website in the weeks leading up to the event.
Levico Terme is served by the Valsugana railway (Trento-Bassano del Grappa line) with a station just a few minutes from the historic center. By car, it can be reached via the SS47 Valsugana road, with parking available near the center.
Access to the market and festival areas is free. Workshops and classes require booking and are generally subject to a fee: advance booking via the official website is recommended.
