What is Festone
The Festone — Festival of People is an annual event that puts relationships, participation, and collective well-being at the forefront in Moncalieri, a town in the southern outskirts of Turin, Piedmont. Promoted by the Municipality as part of the Moncalieri for People project, the festival does not revolve around a single stage but around the people themselves: it is a day designed for meeting, sharing stories, playing, eating together, and rediscovering the sense of community.
Botteghe Limone, the heart of the festival
The home of Festone is Botteghe Limone, located on Via Eduardo De Filippo, a complex born within the historic Fonderie Limone. It is a precious example of industrial archaeology now repurposed: it houses scenic and tailoring workshops, a theater school, and two halls of the Teatro Stabile di Torino. During the festival, this space becomes an indoor and outdoor square, enlivened by local associations, social cooperatives, schools, and the local Pro Loco.
A day of participation
The program weaves together moments for all ages: the grand community lunch (or “neighbors' lunch”) shared at a long table, workshops and games for children, swap parties dedicated to the sustainable exchange of clothes, books, and toys, talks and presentations on local initiatives, and evening theatrical performances in the Fonderie Limone halls.

A festival that grows with the city
Launched in 2023, Festone has quickly become a recognized fixture in the Moncalieri calendar, capable of involving dozens of associations, social cooperatives, and schools. More than just an event, it is the moment when an entire neighborhood — and with it the entire community of the Province of Turin — comes together to demonstrate that, as the project's spirit suggests, a city that participates is a city that thrives.
Festone — edition 2026
La quarta edizione del Festone — Festival delle Persone si è tenuta sabato 9 maggio 2026 alle Botteghe Limone di Moncalieri, in via Eduardo De Filippo 3. Il filo conduttore dell'edizione è stato “Il pranzo dei vicini”: una lunga tavolata condivisa all'aperto, dalle ore 12:00, pensata per pranzare insieme ad amici e vicini e conoscere nuove persone.
Attorno al pranzo si è sviluppata una giornata ricca di attività gratuite per tutte le età, dai laboratori per bambini agli spettacoli serali, confermando il festival come uno degli appuntamenti partecipativi più sentiti di Moncalieri.
Programme Festone 2026
Sabato 9 maggio 2026 — Botteghe Limone
- Dalle 12:00 — Pranzo dei Vicini: grande tavolata all'aperto per condividere il pasto con amici, vicini e nuovi conoscenti.
- 12:00–16:00 — L'Angolino di Zoe: giochi e laboratori per bambini a cura di Casa Zoe e Micro Zoe.
- Dalle 12:00 — Swap Party di primavera: scambio sostenibile di abbigliamento, libri e giochi (fino a 3 oggetti), a cura delle Famiglie Solidali dell'Unione dei Comuni.
- 13:00 — “Un pranzo, 1000 giochi!”: spettacolo di stand-up comedy con Stefano Gorno.
- 14:00 — Presentazioni: “La trama invisibile”, mappa emotiva e collettiva per raccontare Moncalieri, e la “Guida alle opportunità d'argento” dedicata alla terza età.
- Dalle 16:00 — Festival FuoriTempo: “tutti in gara, io rallento”: workshop gratuiti, musica live e arte con giovani artisti, a cura di Moncalieri Giovane e Lemon Hub.
- 20:30 — Teatro Fonderie Limone: spettacolo “Cent'anni di risate, ricordi e panna montata” con la Compagnia Anni Verdi, il Coro Zoe InCanta e il Laboratorio Musicale.

Location
Botteghe Limone, Via Eduardo De Filippo 3, Moncalieri (TO), within the Fonderie Limone complex.
How to get there
By car: Moncalieri is just a few minutes from the center of Turin along the SS393 or the ring road (Moncalieri exit). By train: Moncalieri station on the Turin-Genoa line, then a short trip to the Fonderie. In past editions, a free shuttle service was provided from Piazza del Mercato.
Admission
Admission to the festival is free. Some activities, such as the community lunch, may require reservations for organizational reasons.
