About Festival of Molisan Flavours

In August, Scapoli, in the province of Isernia, hosts the Festival of Molisan Flavours, the so-called Festival of Festivals: a grand evening dedicated to the typical dishes and wines of Molise, from the famous 'raviolo scapolese' to the specialties of the local Pro Loco associations. Born in 2009 and having reached the European Parliament in Brussels, the event enlivens the historic centre of the bagpipe village with tastings and a festive atmosphere.

The Festival of Festivals in Scapoli

In Scapoli (province of Isernia), famous as the capital of the bagpipe, the summer calendar also includes a highly anticipated gastronomic event: the Festival of Molisan Flavours, known as the Festival of Festivals. The event takes place in the first ten days of August and transforms the historic centre of the village into a grand showcase of the region's flavours.

From the 'raviolo scapolese' to the European Parliament

Founded in 2009 to bring together and promote the Pro Loco associations of the province of Isernia, the festival has also had an international showcase: in 2010, Molisan specialties, and in particular the 'raviolo scapolese', were presented at the European Parliament in Brussels. Since then, the event has grown as a moment for promoting typical products and the gastronomic identity of Molise.

An evening of taste in the historic centre

The event takes place in the evening in the heart of the village: stands and tastings offer typical dishes and Molisan wines, from handmade pasta to products from the local Pro Loco associations. An opportunity to discover the cuisine of the province of Isernia in a convivial atmosphere, just a stone's throw from the Bagpipe Museum.
