About Lisotto Festival of Pallare

In Pallare, a village in the Bormida Valley of Savona, the Lisotto Festival is the big mid-August event, linked to the San Rocco celebrations. The stars are Grandma's lisotti, a De.Co. product: a potato flatbread cooked on a griddle, served in the traditional version with garlic sauce and in many delicious variations. At the sports facilities, the food stand opens every evening and also for lunch on Sundays, accompanied by live music. One of the most beloved village festivals in the Savona hinterland.

Grandma's lisotti, Pallare's pride

In Pallare, a Municipality in the Province of Savona in the Bormida Valley, Grandma's lisotti are the most important specialty of the town. It is a potato flatbread cooked on a griddle, served in the traditional version with a garlic-based sauce and, in more recent versions, with delicious ingredients such as gorgonzola, Nutella, jam, and more. The product has obtained the Municipal Designation (De.Co.), a recognition that protects its recipe.

A valley tradition

Organized by the Pro Loco Pallare, it promotes an identity product and the art of poor cuisine of the past, when potatoes and a few other ingredients became a exquisite dish. For those visiting the Savona hinterland in mid-August, it is an opportunity to discover a unique flavor and a welcoming community.
