In Bannia, a small hamlet of Fiume Veneto in the province of Pordenone, there is a May event that the palate won't forget: the Festival of Fried Food of Meat, organized with passion by Pro Loco Bannia. An now established event, now in its twenty-second edition, which attracts gourmets from all over the surrounding area.

Meat and fish fried in olive oil

The absolute star is fried food in olive oil: meat and fish, calamari, battered vegetables, and other delicacies, served hot at the table. The kitchen, managed by volunteers, works in plain sight to offer light and crispy fried dishes, accompanied by Sauris beer and local wines. All under a covered structure of about a thousand square meters, with table service and full tableware, designed to comfortably accommodate families and groups.

Theater, solidarity, and fun

The festival is not just about gastronomy. The opening evening hosts a theater performance by the company 'I Commedianti per Scherzo', while a space is dedicated to children with a play area. Part of the proceeds supports the Food Solidarity Center, confirming the community spirit that animates the event. The event enjoys the support of the Municipality of Fiume Veneto.
