Opera in the Cinque Terre village

The Vernazza Opera Concerts are a series of lyric concerts held in Vernazza, in the province of La Spezia, within the Cinque Terre National Park. Organized by Cinque Terre Riviera, they offer a musical evening every Wednesday in the Oratory of Santa Marta, a charming historic space in the village.

An hour of great repertoire

Each concert lasts about an hour and is dedicated to operatic and lyric repertoire, with piano accompaniment by Maestro Cesare Goretta. The intimate size of the oratory creates a direct relationship between performers and audience, enhancing the voice and music in an acoustically enclosed environment, free from the dispersion of large theatres.

All summer long, from May to October

The series accompanies the tourist season of the Cinque Terre: concerts are held weekly from May to October, with a break in August. It is a precious opportunity to enrich a visit to Vernazza with a cultural experience, an alternative to solely beach and landscape tourism.

Vernazza, between sea and culture

With its small square by the harbour, the church of Santa Margherita, and the narrow alleys climbing towards the hill, Vernazza is one of the most photographed villages in Italy. The Vernazza Opera Concerts add an authorial soundtrack to this scenery, confirming how even small Ligurian villages can offer quality cultural events.
