About Festival Confluenze

Festival Confluenze is a celebration of slow and sustainable tourism that brings the Valle dei Laghi to life every summer, spanning the municipality of Cavedine and its surrounding villages in Trentino-Alto Adige. Promoted by the Valle dei Laghi Biodistrict, it offers two weeks of excursions, vineyard dinners, tastings, author meet-and-greets, and sunrise events, encouraging visitors to experience the region with mindfulness and a deep respect for the environment and local communities.

Festival Confluenze in the Valle dei Laghi

Festival Confluenze is the summer event that celebrates slow and sustainable tourism in the Valle dei Laghi, a territory nestled between Trentino and Lake Garda that includes the municipality of Cavedine, in Trentino-Alto Adige. Promoted by the Valle dei Laghi Biodistrict, the festival invites residents and visitors alike to slow down, observe, listen, and savour, rediscovering the profound bond between humanity, the environment, and the landscape.

A territory to be experienced at a slow pace

For two weeks, the valley becomes a vast stage for excursions, hikes, vineyard dinners, tastings, performances, and dialogues with authors. The festival winds through forests, castles, villages, and lakeshores: from Lago di Cavedine to Castel Toblino, from the Marocche to the Nosiola vineyards—places that tell the story and identity of this corner of Trentino.

Food, wine, and local produce

The heart of the festival is sustainable food and wine tourism: dinners in the vineyards, tastings of Vino Santo, foraging-based culinary experiences, and bread-making and cheesemaking workshops at local farms. Every event highlights traditional products and the work of local producers from the Biodistrict.

Excursions and nature

There are numerous guided walks along the valley's trails, including routes to Lago di Cavedine and Lago di Lagolo, itineraries towards Castel Toblino, and sunrise hikes with live music. It is an authentic way to discover the biodiversity and landscapes of the Valle dei Laghi.

A commitment to sustainability

Festival Confluenze bases its programme on four pillars: environmental, social, cultural, and economic sustainability. Organized by the Valle dei Laghi Biodistrict with the support of local entities, it is now a benchmark event for responsible tourism in Trentino.

  • Guided excursions and hikes in the Valle dei Laghi
  • Vineyard dinners, tastings, and local cuisine
  • Meetings with authors, mountaineers, and cultural guests
  • Events at Lago di Cavedine and Malga Cavedine
  • Bread-making and cheesemaking workshops
