The Festa del Pinzin di Runzi is one of the most cherished gastronomic festivals in the hamlet of Runzi, in the municipality of Bagnolo di Po, province of Rovigo. The star is the pinzin, the typical fried pastry from Polesine, served hot to be paired with cured meats and cheeses.
Dining between tradition and taste
The covered stand at the parish grounds, in Piazza Runzi 82, offers a rich menu: pinzin with typical cured meats (Venetian, Emilian, Tuscan), prosciutto crudo, artisanal porchetta, or lighter options with cooked ham, bresaola, and cheese. Among the first courses, the egg tagliatelle with duck or meat ragù and the spätzle with speck and cream stand out; to finish, desserts from the trolley.
A community celebration
Organised by the volunteers of the Sagra di Runzi, the festival is a village event that combines good food and socialising in the Polesine countryside. For visitors, it's an opportunity to savour the authentic flavours of the Rovigo area in a family atmosphere, in the Municipality of Bagnolo di Po.
Festa del Pinzin — edition 2026
Between May 29 and June 2, 2026, the hamlet of Runzi, in Bagnolo di Po, hosts the Festa del Pinzin in the covered stand of the parish grounds. Five evenings dedicated to the Polesine pinzin and local cuisine, opening at 7:30 PM (7:00 PM on holidays) with reservations recommended for large groups.
