The Festa della Pinza alla Munara is the gastronomic festival that in Stienta, a municipality in the province of Rovigo in Polesine, celebrates one of the most typical products of local tradition: pinza alla munara, the rustic bread linked to the world of mills and millers of the Po river area. The event takes place in Piazza S. Stefano, right in the centre, with an outdoor food stand.

The absolute star is the complete platter with cured meats, cheeses, and pinza alla munara, accompanied by a mixed grill with chips, sandwiches, piadine (flatbreads), vegetables, and other offerings. The stand opens at 7:30 PM on weekdays and 7:00 PM on holidays, and reservations are recommended. It's an opportunity to taste a simple, identity-rich flavour, a symbol of the peasant cuisine of Polesine.
Evenings of music and comedy
The gastronomic specialities are complemented by evenings of entertainment, with musical comedy and comedy shows that liven up the square. The festival is organised by Proloco Stienta Caligo APS, and over the years it has become an eagerly awaited summer event in Stienta, capable of promoting a local product and attracting visitors from neighbouring municipalities.

The Festa della Pinza alla Munara returns to Stienta (RO) on July 3 and 4, 2026, in Piazza S. Stefano, organised by Proloco Stienta Caligo APS. Two evenings dedicated to the typical bread of the Polesine millers.
The food stand offers the complete platter with cured meats, cheeses, and pinza alla munara, as well as a mixed grill with chips, sandwiches, piadine, and vegetables. It opens at 7:30 PM on Friday and 7:00 PM on Saturday. The evenings are enlivened by comedy and humour shows.

- Saturday, July 4 — from 7:00 PM — Food stand opens. In the evening, comedy with Giusy Zenere ("Two laughs with Giusy Zenere")
