The Füghiascia, Gordona's Identity

The Festa de la Füghiascia is the festival that in Gordona, in Valchiavenna (province of Sondrio), celebrates the specialty that gives the event its name: the füghiascia, a cornbread focaccia cooked on the piòta, the traditional stone slab placed in front of the fire. It is enjoyed sliced and accompanied by cured meats, cheeses, or jams, and it is the common thread of a festival that for decades has represented one of the most cherished moments for the Gordona community.

Three Days of Tradition and Conviviality

The event takes place over three days in May, with evening openings on Friday and Saturday and Sunday also dedicated to lunch. The program alternates between tastings of local products, wooden games and inflatables for children, musical moments with bands and orchestras, evenings with DJs, and the unmissable parade of the Gordona Band. It is a village festival in the truest sense: organized by volunteers, experienced by the entire community, and open to visitors from the valley.
