The most magical night of the Grado summer

Ferragosto has always been the heart of summer in Grado, the Island of the Sun in the Friulian lagoon. It is on this night that the seaside town celebrates the Fest dell'Ospite, the festival dedicated to the many visitors who liven up the season, culminating in the show everyone awaits: Fuochi sul Mare, a grand pyromusical display that transforms the coastline into an open-air theatre.

Organized by the Grado Turismo Consortium and the Municipality, the evening draws thousands of people, including residents and tourists, who flock to the beach, the promenade, and the island's vantage points to witness the spectacle.

Fireworks to the rhythm of music

The highlight is the fireworks display, which in recent years has become a true pyromusical event: the fireworks are synchronized to music and launched from various positions along the main beach, creating a choreography of lights and sounds reflected on the water. The show begins late in the evening, around 11:00 PM, when the darkness of the night best enhances the colours of the fireworks.

The show can be viewed from the main beach, the coastline, and the Nazario Sauro promenade, as well as from numerous other points on the island, offering everyone the chance to witness this event from different perspectives.

A widespread celebration

Fuochi sul Mare is not an isolated event but the culmination of a day of celebration that involves the whole of Grado, with concerts, entertainment, and gastronomic initiatives. It's the perfect opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of Grado on Ferragosto: the scent of the sea, the festive crowd along the shores, and then, suddenly, the sky ignites above the lagoon.
