Three days of live music, gastronomy, and fun in the heart of Romagna
Fermata Turrito is the event that transforms Turrito, a small hamlet in the Municipality of Sarsina in the province of Forlì-Cesena, into a meeting point for young people, families, and live music enthusiasts every spring. In the heart of the Apennine Emilia-Romagna, among the hills rising from the Savio valley, the festival offers three intense days of concerts, gastronomy, and community gatherings, in a young and engaging atmosphere that attracts visitors from all over Romagna.
The program alternates between the stage and the kitchen: every evening, the food stalls offer the flavors of Romagnola tradition, from grilled dishes to local specialties, while the stage hosts emerging bands, rock groups, and DJ sets that liven up the evenings until late. There are also moments designed for children, with face painting and shows, and for the community, such as the fashion show by local shops and the Holy Mass of the Patron Saint that opens the final day.
Fermata Turrito has grown over time thanks to the commitment of volunteers and the participation of the local community, becoming an anticipated event in the spring calendar of the Cesena Apennines. The festival takes place with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality of Sarsina, which enthusiastically supports this grassroots initiative rooted in the identity of the village of Turrito.
The festival also offers an opportunity to discover Sarsina, an ancient Roman city known for being the birthplace of the playwright Titus Maccius Plautus and for its Basilica of San Vicinio, a pilgrimage site. The area, nestled in the Tuscan-Romagnol Apennines, combines nature, history, and hospitality in an authentic setting off the beaten tourist track.
Friday, May 15 the festival opens at 6:00 PM with a BBQ dinner by reservation and, at 10:00 PM, the live performance by Lovesick, followed by DJ sets by Nico Montalti and Faggia. Saturday, May 16, from 6:30 PM, the fashion show by local shops (Il Bottoncino, La Vie en Claude, FreeTime 2.0, Giusy) precedes the evening live from 8:30 PM with Loyal Cheaters, Mad Dogs, and Starship Collective, closed by the DJ set of La Peligrosa. Sunday, May 17 opens at 11:00 AM with the Holy Mass of the Patron Saint; in the afternoon, face painting for the little ones, opening of the food stall at 6:00 PM, hip-hop show by Giada Fugazza at 6:30 PM, and the grand musical finale from 7:30 PM with Enea, Sandri e Nervi.
