Five days of music, local flavors, and tradition in the village of Fenile, Val Pellice
In the heart of the Val Pellice, just a few kilometers from Pinerolo, the village of Fenile renews its patronal feast dedicated to Saints Gervasius and Protasius every year. This event is deeply rooted in the community of Campiglione Fenile, in the province of Turin, and marks the first of the town's two patronal celebrations, preceding the feast dedicated to Saint John the Baptist in the main town by a few weeks.
Each edition is organized by the volunteer group Gli Amici di Fenile, who have spent years bringing these festive days to life with a program that combines religious tradition, rustic cuisine, and plenty of fun. For five days, the village transforms into a lively gathering spot where residents and visitors meet around long tables to enjoy dancing and family-friendly activities.
The common thread of the festival is local cuisine: the stars are the famous grilled pork ribs, agnolotti, local cheeses, and traditional Piedmontese dishes, served under the marquee and also available for takeaway. Every evening, dinner gives way to a different musical offering, from DJ sets to ballroom orchestras, in the true style of local village festivals.
Beyond the good food, the Fenile festival is known for several events that have become local traditions. Highlights include the Gara d'la crostata ed Fnil, a homemade tart baking competition now in its sixth year; an afternoon dedicated to children and dance; and, above all, the "Fenile in… Vespa" rally, which attracts fans of Italy's most famous scooter every year for a scenic ride through the countryside of the lower Val Pellice. It is a simple and genuine event that captures the soul of a small town in the Pinerolo area and Piedmont.
The 2026 patronal feast of the village of Fenile, in Campiglione Fenile, kicked off the town's patronal celebrations with five evenings full of gastronomy and music, organized by the Gli Amici di Fenile group. The program alternated dinners featuring traditional Piedmontese dishes, moments dedicated to children and dance, the historic tart competition, and the customary Vespa rally in the lower Val Pellice.
The festival takes place in the village of Fenile, in the Municipality of Campiglione Fenile (TO), in Val Pellice, about 9 km from Pinerolo.
By car from Pinerolo, reach Campiglione Fenile heading towards Bricherasio and Bibiana; the village of Fenile is signposted within the municipal territory.
A kitchen service offering local dishes is available every evening, with takeaway options. Reservations are recommended for fixed-price lunches and dinners.
The event is organized by the Gli Amici di Fenile group. Program updates are shared through the local press and the social channels of the Pro Loco of Campiglione Fenile.
