Street art and theatre in the alleys of Lundo, Comano Terme
In the small village of Lundo, a hamlet of the municipality of Comano Terme in the Autonomous Province of Trento and the Garda Trentino district, F.A.T.T.O. was born—an acronym for Festival di Arte e Teatro in un Territorio Ospitale (Festival of Art and Theatre in a Welcoming Territory). The name is a statement of intent: using street art as a tool to rediscover community spaces and turn alleys, squares, and courtyards into vibrant hubs for gathering and performance.
The idea behind the festival is simple yet powerful: taking theatre out of traditional venues and returning it to the village streets, where residents and visitors can share the same emotions. One of the landmarks of the event is the village theatre, recently restored for the community, which comes back to life through this new cultural adventure.
Despite the small size of Lundo, F.A.T.T.O. immediately took on an international scope: the first edition brought together eight companies from Italy, Germany, the Philippines-Australia, Argentina, and Japan, for a program of over 25 free shows. Magic, soap bubbles, circus acts, puppetry, and music: a range of languages capable of speaking to both adults and children.
The artistic direction is entrusted to Remo Di Filippo and Rhoda Lopez, the driving forces behind the renowned Di Filippo Marionette company, who have curated a program focused on quality and variety, with short performances designed to guide the spectator from one square to another throughout the day.
F.A.T.T.O. is promoted by the Pro Loco of Lundo "Sùbit Fat", which strongly supported this event as the first step toward the idea of a "diffused village." The festival is not just a series of shows, but a project to enhance local communities, weaving together culture, hospitality, and attention to the landscape of the Giudicarie valleys. Among the highlights is a theatrical walk toward San Martino, which combines outdoor experience with performance, in perfect harmony with the outdoor vocation of Garda Trentino.
The symbol of the event is a rooster, built from the typical architectural elements of Lundo: an image that evokes the morning crow, a new beginning, and the natural hospitality of this corner of Trentino.
The inaugural edition of F.A.T.T.O. debuted in Lundo (Comano Terme) on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 2026, transforming the Trentino village into a large, diffused stage. Despite some concerns about the weather, the event saw a warm turnout from residents and visitors alike.
