The horticultural and gastronomic market exhibition in Fossano
Expoflora is one of the most anticipated events in the calendar of Fossano, a city in the Cuneo area that transforms into a sprawling garden every spring. For an entire weekend, the City Park, Viale Alpi, and Via Roma host a horticultural and gastronomic market exhibition that draws visitors from across Piedmont and nearby Liguria. Flowers, garden plants, orchids, houseplants, small fruits, and everything related to greenery blend with the aromas of fine local cuisine in an event that unites floral art, agricultural tradition, and local culture.
The heart of Expoflora is the grand exhibition bringing together over 100 exhibitors: nurserymen, floriculturists, and florists showcase their products alongside stands dedicated to outdoor furniture, home decor, and agricultural technology. Set across thousands of square meters between the park and the avenue, the exhibition is the perfect opportunity to purchase plants, get professional advice, and find inspiration for your own garden or balcony.
Alongside the flowers, Expoflora gives plenty of space to taste. The gourmet market on Via Roma brings the flavors of the Cuneo area to the city center with stalls featuring local specialties. The event is supported by organizations such as Coldiretti, Campagna Amica, Cia Agricoltori Italiani di Cuneo, and Slow Food Fossano, which enliven the event by promoting short supply chains and zero-kilometer products.
Expoflora is more than just shopping; it is an educational and participatory experience. Recent editions have featured an educational vegetable garden, free workshops for children, the creation of "seed bombs" using clay, beeswax and honey lip balm workshops, and pedal tractor games designed to introduce the little ones to the world of agriculture. Activities take place between the Bastions and the historic town squares.
For Fossano, the historic capital of the plains between Cuneo and Saluzzo, Expoflora represents one of the defining events of the spring season, capable of attracting thousands of visitors and showcasing the horticultural and agricultural excellence of the Province of Cuneo and all of Piedmont. An event that, edition after edition, renews the bond between the city, its territory, and the culture of greenery.
The 2026 edition of Expoflora confirmed the great appeal of the Fossano event, with two days dedicated to flowers, plants, and local flavors. The inauguration was held at the City Park, and the horticultural exhibition brought together over 100 exhibitors. There was also ample space for gastronomy and the promotion of short supply chains, with the involvement of Coldiretti, Campagna Amica, Cia Agricoltori Italiani di Cuneo, and Slow Food Fossano.
Expoflora traditionally takes place over a weekend in May. The horticultural exhibition is open at the City Park and Viale Alpi, while the gourmet market enlivens Via Roma.
Fossano is located on the Turin-Savona railway line and is well-connected by train. By car, it can be reached via the A6 Turin-Savona motorway (Fossano exit) and the provincial roads of the Cuneo area. The historic center is easily walkable.
Access to the market exhibition and the gourmet market is generally free. For updated information on hours and the program, you can contact the Fossano IAT Tourist Office (tel. +39 0172 60160).
