International festival for young talents in music, dance, and painting in Maiori
EuroKids Summer Edition is the summer chapter of EuroKids, an international festival for young talents focused on music, dance, and painting. The event takes place in the town of Maiori, in the province of Salerno, in the heart of the Amalfi Coast in Campania, with some sections hosted in the nearby town of Minori. Established in 2009, the competition has welcomed delegations and artists from over thirty countries, transforming the coast into a cross-generational cultural exchange laboratory for a few days.
The event is organized by the Rosso Arancio association, a Campanian organization active in promoting music, art, and culture, in partnership with ALFA โ Alliance of Festivals Associations, an international network connecting youth festivals and competitions. The summer edition is held under the patronage and support of the municipalities of Maiori and Minori, which provide their most beautiful historic venues. The format goes beyond a simple competition: alongside the contests, there are training sessions, meetings, and opportunities for interaction among young people who, despite speaking different languages, share the universal language of music.
The festival is open to both soloists and groups, with age categories starting from 5 years old up to the Eurotalent Open section, reserved for those over 27. The competition disciplines include:
Performances are evaluated by an international jury composed of teachers and professionals who follow the European youth competition circuit.
The headquarters is Palazzo Mezzacapo, overlooking Corso Reginna, the main street of Maiori. The building now houses the municipal library, the historical archive, and some municipal offices, and its halls host the competition trials. The Gardens of Palazzo Mezzacapo, with their rose-shaped flowerbeds and palm trees, make them one of the most photographed corners of the coast and provide the setting for the final gala under the stars. In Minori, just a few minutes away, the Palazzo delle Arti hosts the pop music section.
Registration is done by requesting the official regulations at [email protected]. Applications must be submitted by the deadline set by the organization in the spring before the festival. Booking accommodation well in advance is highly recommended, as June is peak tourist season on the Amalfi Coast and availability runs out quickly.
For tourists visiting Maiori, the EuroKids Summer Edition is a chance to enjoy three days of free concerts and artist trials in locations usually seen only in passing. It is also one of the few events on the coast where the international dimension is genuine: the stage features young people from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia, welcomed by local families and hospitality providers. The grand finale in the gardens, outdoors and filled with the scent of the coast's lemons, remains the most evocative moment of the entire event.
From June 19th to 21st, 2026, the Amalfi Coast became the capital of young international talents thanks to the EuroKids Summer Edition, promoted by Rosso Arancio and ALFA with the patronage of the municipalities of Maiori and Minori. The festival, included in the 2026 summer program of the Municipality of Maiori as the ยซInternational Festival of Young Talents for Music, Dance, and Paintingยป, brought together students and artists from various countries: delegations from Lithuania, Uzbekistan, and Thailand were among those present.
As per tradition, the format combined competitive and training aspects: the performances were evaluated by an international jury and took place in two historic venues, Palazzo Mezzacapo in Maiori and the Palazzo delle Arti in Minori. All events were free of charge.
The most anticipated moment was the Gala Concert on Sunday, June 21st, in the Gardens of Palazzo Mezzacapo, where the winners from the previous days performed: an open-air evening that closed the festival before an audience of residents and tourists.
All sessions were open and free to the public.
By car: take the A3 Salerno or Angri motorway exit, then the SS163 Amalfitana coastal road. Summer traffic along the coast is heavy and parking in Maiori is paid: it is best to arrive well in advance. By bus: SITA Sud lines from Salerno and Amalfi, with a stop on the Maiori seafront. By train: Salerno station, then bus or, in season, ferry connections. By plane: Naples Capodichino Airport or Salerno Costa d'Amalfi Airport.
Admission to the competition sessions and the final gala is free. The registration fee applies only to contestants and is indicated in the official regulations, which can be requested by writing to [email protected].
Maiori has the longest beach on the Amalfi Coast and a wide range of hotels and holiday homes. Minori, two kilometers away, is a convenient alternative to reach both venues. In June, it is essential to book months in advance.
The Gardens of Palazzo Mezzacapo are open daily from 9:00 AM until sunset with free entry: they can be visited even outside festival hours. For the evening outdoor gala, it is useful to bring a light sweater, as the sea breeze cools down after sunset.
