The Amalfi Coast Highlands festival featuring music, theatre, and storytelling perched above the sea
Agerola on the Path of the Gods is the summer festival that has turned the small town of Agerola, perched in the Lattari Mountains over 600 metres above sea level, into one of the cultural capitals of the Amalfi Coast. The festival takes its name from the famous Path of the Gods, the most renowned hiking trail in Campania that connects Agerola to Positano along a natural balcony overlooking the gulf. For two months, the town becomes a widespread stage where music, theatre, and storytelling engage with breathtaking landscapes.
In 2026, the festival celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with a programme dedicated to the theme "What Beauty!!!", a concept created by writer Paolo Logli. From July 13 to September 12, 2026, over 60 completely free events are scheduled, spread across the hamlets of Agerola. The artistic direction is entrusted to the Palco Reale production house, while the organisation is managed by Pro Loco Agerola with the support of the Municipality.
The 2026 line-up brings together some of the most beloved names in Italian music alongside theatre and spoken-word performers:
Most concerts begin at 9:00 PM with free admission subject to availability.
The festival is itinerant and involves various evocative settings in the area: the Parco Colonia Montana on Via Salvatore Di Giacomo, the Belvedere Punta Corona in Pianillo, the Via Carbonara Amphitheatre, the hamlet of Bomerano (the starting point of the Path of the Gods), and the Punta Miramare viewpoints. A highlight is "The Magic Dawn," the highly anticipated sunrise concert on Monte Tre Calli during the mid-August holiday, one of the event's signature moments.
Located in the province of Naples, in Campania, Agerola is known for its cool microclimate, typical cheeses (fiordilatte and provolone del Monaco), and panoramas stretching from Capri to the Sorrento Peninsula. Attending On the Path of the Gods means combining great live music, hiking on some of Italy's most beautiful trails, and discovering an authentic, less crowded Amalfi Coast, far from the glitz of the coastal resorts.
The festival celebrates fifteen years with a programme of over 60 free events from July 13 to September 12, 2026. A journey through live music, theatre, and spoken word in the most evocative spots of Agerola, from the Parco Colonia Montana to the Belvedere Punta Corona, up to the "The Magic Dawn" sunrise concert on Monte Tre Calli.
The line-up also includes Diodato, Massimo Di Cataldo, Michele Riondino & Revolving Bridge, Amara, Briga, Mirkoeilcane, and theatrical performances with Claudia Campagnola and Violante Placido. Most concerts start at 9:00 PM.
By car: from Naples, follow the A3 motorway to the Castellammare di Stabia exit, then take the road to Gragnano and Agerola. By train: Castellammare di Stabia station (Circumvesuviana), then take the SITA bus to Agerola. The hamlet of Bomerano is the access point to the Path of the Gods.
All events are free of charge subject to availability. We recommend arriving early for major concert evenings.
Bring layered clothing: in the evening, temperatures in Agerola drop even in the height of summer. Full programme and updates are available on the official website festivalagerola.it and the festival's social media channels.
