The widespread summer festival of the Municipality of Fisciano, heir to the historic Estate Fiscianese
Summer in Fisciano is the summer festival program of the Municipality of Fisciano, in the province of Salerno, in the heart of the Irno Valley, Campania. Presented at the Town Hall in early July 2026, the program accompanies residents and visitors between July and September with dozens of events dedicated to culture, music, entertainment, environment, sports, traditions, and community gatherings.
The chosen format is that of a widespread event: not a single stage, but initiatives distributed throughout the main town and its key hamlets—from Penta to Lancusi, from Gaiano to Bolano—so that every village can become the center of the festivities for an evening. It is a choice that perfectly reflects the identity of a polycentric municipality, made up of distinct inhabited nuclei that each preserve their own traditions.
The program does not come from a single organizer: the initiatives of the 2026 edition are the result of collaboration between the municipal administration, local associations, the Pro Loco Fiscianese, Fisciano Sviluppo, and the University of Salerno, whose main campus is located right in Fisciano and brings thousands of students to the valley every year.
The presentation of the program was attended by Mayor Vincenzo Sessa, Councilor for Events Teresa D'Auria, Pro Loco Fiscianese President Donato Aliberti, and Maurizio Tramontano, the municipal official who coordinated the technical organization of the festival. Special attention in building the program was dedicated to children, families, and young people.
Among the most anticipated events of the 2026 summer is the Fisciano Summer Talk Fest, hosted at Villa Giovanardi, in the hamlet of Penta. The format is that of a talk show: well-known faces from the Italian artistic scene make themselves available to the public to share experiences, curiosities, and reflections on the world of entertainment. The festival is organized by the Municipality of Fisciano together with DLiveMedia — Communication and Events, with artistic direction by Roberto Vargiu and hosted by content creator Pino Cuozzo and actress Ludovica Ferraro.
Today's program is the direct heir of the Estate Fiscianese, the historic festival promoted by the Pro Loco Fiscianese, established on August 21, 1979, by a group of citizens in love with their territory. The association's motto—«Know, Conserve, Preserve»—perfectly summarizes the spirit with which evenings, games, workshops, and meeting opportunities have taken place for decades in the ten hamlets of the Municipality. That tradition has not been lost: it has flowed into a broader container, which is now called Summer in Fisciano and which combines the initiatives of the Pro Loco with those of local associations and the university.
Fisciano is located a few kilometers from Salerno, in a valley that connects the coast to the border with Irpinia. It is a land of hazelnut groves and small villages, where gastronomy remains a strong element of identity: the hamlet of Gaiano, for example, is known for the Hazelnut and Wild Boar Festival, a late-summer event that combines forest products and traditional cuisine. Participating in Summer in Fisciano therefore means discovering a part of Campania less beaten by tourist circuits, made of lively squares, village festivals, and a university community that coexists with the rural world.
It is a festival designed first and foremost for those who live in the area, and for this reason, it maintains an authentic and familiar tone: you can go from an evening talk with a television actor to a screening under the stars, from a children's workshop to a village festival. Those visiting the province of Salerno in summer will find here a free or affordable alternative to the coastal events, just minutes from the motorway exit.
The 2026 program was illustrated at the Town Hall by Mayor Vincenzo Sessa, Councilor for Events Teresa D'Auria, Pro Loco Fiscianese President Donato Aliberti, and municipal official Maurizio Tramontano, who coordinated the technical organization.
The calendar brings together the territory's historic events, cultural performances, shows, workshops for children, open-air cinema, meetings with figures from the world of culture and entertainment, and initiatives dedicated to promoting local excellence, distributed throughout the various hamlets of the Municipality of Fisciano. Special attention was reserved for children, families, and young people, also thanks to the involvement of the University of Salerno.

By car: Fisciano is served by the homonymous junction of the A30 Caserta–Salerno motorway, a few kilometers from the city of Salerno. The University of Salerno campus in Fisciano is connected by bus lines from Salerno and the municipalities of the Irno Valley.
The complete calendar, with times and locations of individual events, is released by the Municipality and the Pro Loco on their respective social channels: it is advisable to check it before traveling, as some initiatives may be moved in case of bad weather.
