About Estate Cefaludese

Estate Cefaludese is the summer festival programme of the Municipality of Cefalù, in the Metropolitan City of Palermo. From July to August, it brings the famous Lungomare Giardina and other iconic spots of the 'Pearl of the Tyrrhenian' to life with free concerts, theatre, cabaret, dance, and cultural events. This popular and accessible festival, designed for both residents and tourists, blends big names in Italian music with local traditions, all set against the unmistakable backdrop of the Rocca and the medieval Sicilian village.

Cefalù's musical summer

Estate Cefaludese is the series of events that the Municipality of Cefalù, in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, organises every year between July and August to accompany the peak tourist season of the so-called Pearl of the Tyrrhenian. The beating heart of the event is the Lungomare Giardina, a natural stage overlooking the sea, where major free concerts are held, attracting thousands of residents and holidaymakers alike.

A festival spread between the sea and the village

The programme is not limited to the seafront: over the years, events have also been held in other picturesque locations, such as Castello Bordonaro and the square in the hillside hamlet of Sant'Ambrogio. This widespread approach helps showcase the entire municipality, from the medieval village dominated by the Rocca to the inland districts, offering the public a varied programme ranging from pop music to singer-songwriters, jazz to theatre, and cabaret to dance.

Music, entertainment, and tradition

The festival's identity is that of a major, free popular event, capable of alternating the most famous names on the national music scene with proposals linked to Sicilian folklore and traditions. Alongside the concerts, there are theatrical performances, cabaret evenings with popular comedians, dance festivals, and cultural appointments, in a calendar that is enriched week by week throughout the summer.

Cefalù, an exceptional setting

Attending a concert on the Lungomare Giardina means experiencing music with the sea at your back and the silhouette of the Norman Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in the background. The unique setting of Cefalù, in Sicily, turns every evening into an experience that combines entertainment, landscape, and local identity, making Estate Cefaludese one of the most anticipated events of the summer season in the Madonie area and the Palermo Tyrrhenian coast.

Estate Cefaludese — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of Estate Cefaludese brings three major free concerts to the Lungomare Giardina: Serena Brancale on 29 July, Baby K on 5 August, and Michele Zarrillo on 21 August. These are the first names announced by the Municipality of Cefalù, marking the start of a summer programme that will be completed in the following weeks with other musical events, theatre, and shows.

The 2026 major concerts

For the summer of 2026, the Municipality of Cefalù has announced the three headline concerts of the festival, all held on the Lungomare Giardina with free admission:

  • 29 July 2026 – Serena Brancale, one of the most original voices on the national scene, balancing jazz, soul, pop, and Mediterranean sounds.
  • 5 August 2026 – Baby K, star of numerous hits that have defined Italian summers in recent years.
  • 21 August 2026 – Michele Zarrillo, a Roman singer-songwriter loved by generations of Italian music fans.

The municipal administration has described these three appointments as an important first step in the summer programme, announcing that the full calendar of events will be released in the following weeks, with further appointments designed to enrich the season.
