WineSounds – Wine Melodies along the South Tyrol Wine Road is one of the most evocative autumn festivals in South Tyrol. Created to celebrate the deep bond between wine culture and great music, the event brings a series of excellent concerts into wineries, castles, manors, and historic palaces scattered along one of Europe's most beautiful wine routes. At each event, the audience enjoys a musical performance followed by the opportunity to taste a selection of the region's prestigious wines in unique, history-steeped settings.

The Tramin stop: Elena Walch Estate

In the municipality of Tramin an der Weinstraße, in the province of Bolzano, the festival stops at the historic Elena Walch Estate, one of the iconic wineries of South Tyrolean oenology. Here, the ancient rooms of the winery become the setting for an intimate, cozy concert; at the end of the performance, guests are taken on a guided tour of the cellar, featuring a tasting of selected house wines. It is an experience that weaves together art, hospitality, and local flavors.

A journey through the Wine Road towns

Beyond Tramin, the festival involves numerous towns along the South Tyrol Wine Road and the surroundings of Bolzano—including Terlano, Nalles, Salorno, Appiano, Egna, Andriano, Caldaro, Vadena, and the capital Bolzano—offering a rich calendar of concerts in diverse venues: from castles to noble palaces, from farmsteads to cooperative wineries. The repertoire ranges from classical music to jazz, from tango to film scores, catering to a diverse audience of music and food-and-wine enthusiasts.

A project of the Wine Road

The event is organized by the South Tyrol Wine Road Association together with local tourist boards and the Bolzano Tourist Office, under the artistic direction of Johann Finatzer. WineSounds enhances the oenological, architectural, and landscape heritage of the area, offering visitors an elegant and original way to discover the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and the Trentino-Alto Adige region in the golden light of autumn, amidst vineyards, villages, and wineries.
