A day dedicated to sustainability, reuse, and human ecology in Panzano in Chianti
The Environment and Reuse Festival is one of the most heartfelt initiatives in the calendar of Greve in Chianti, in the Province of Florence, in the heart of Tuscany. Promoted by the municipal departments for the Environment and Social Policies, the festival was created to spread a culture of sustainability, reuse, and waste sorting, turning ecological themes into a tangible experience shared by the entire community.
The event takes place in the evocative Limonaia di Pescille, in Panzano in Chianti, a hillside village famous for its vineyards and the Chianti Classico landscape. Here, for a full day, the Limonaia garden comes alive with stalls, play areas, workshops, and music, welcoming families, children, students, and local associations.
The festival revolves around the theme "Differenzia-mente: A New Way of Living", an invitation to rethink our daily relationship with waste and resources. The underlying idea is that of human ecology: caring for the environment also means caring for people and relationships. For this reason, the event weaves together sustainability, social inclusion, and volunteering, involving organizations such as the Centro Ponticelli and the Comunitร Alloggio, alongside numerous local entities.
Organized in collaboration with Rosalibri, Plures Alia, and numerous associations from the Florentine Chianti, the Environment and Reuse Festival is much more than an event: it is an opportunity to promote the culture of reuse and volunteering, capable of fostering dialogue between different age groups and strengthening the sense of community. An ideal stop for those visiting Greve in Chianti who want to discover the sustainable and supportive side of this corner of Tuscany.
The second edition of the Environment and Reuse Festival, dedicated to human ecology and the theme "Differenzia-mente: A New Way of Living," brought the Limonaia di Pescille in Panzano in Chianti to life on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The day concluded with performances by the Greve in Chianti Music School and a concert by the Gaudats Junk Band.
