Art, nature, and community at Poggio Valicaia Park
Appartenenze Naturali is a widespread art project that, throughout the summer of 2026, brings theater, dance, and storytelling among the trees of Poggio Valicaia Park, located in the hills of Scandicci, in the province of Florence. Conceived by the Il Giglio del Campo association, the festival offers a cycle of artistic and performance experiences capable of intertwining nature, art, and community, where freedom becomes creativity, awareness, and responsibility.
From June 13 to September 12, 2026, the vast, nearly fifty-hectare park-museum transforms into an open-air stage: every initiative encourages listening, wonder, and public participation in a continuous dialogue between the artists' bodies and the Tuscan landscape.
The schedule alternates between workshops, nature walks, dance performances, and storytelling sessions designed for different ages and sensibilities. Notable announced events include The Woods Tell a Story: Tales of Invisible Threads, Roots, and Solidarity, dedicated to children accompanied by a parent, and Wild Bodies: Free Dance in Nature and Aperitif, an experience for adults and teenagers that combines movement, listening, and connection.
Appartenenze Naturali is part of the Scandicci Open City 2026 program, the major summer season of the Municipality of Scandicci, which brings over one hundred and thirty events to the city from June to September, including music, theater, cinema, dance, art, and meetings, involving dozens of local associations.
Poggio Valicaia Park is a naturalistic space of great value: woods, meadows, a small lake, and a viewpoint overlooking Florence make it an ideal setting for a festival that places nature at the center of the artistic experience. Dotted with contemporary art installations, the park combines landscape, culture, and well-being, offering visitors a different, slow, and deeply Tuscan summer.
From June 13 to September 12, 2026, Appartenenze Naturali returns to Poggio Valicaia Park with a series of artistic and performance experiences immersed in nature. The festival, conceived by Il Giglio del Campo, offers theater, dance, and storytelling that turn the park into an open-air stage.
The program alternates events for diverse audiences: from workshops for children and families, such as The Woods Tell a Story, to free dance sessions in nature for adults and teenagers, such as Wild Bodies. The initiative is part of the Scandicci Open City 2026 program.
The 2026 program runs throughout the summer, from June 13 to September 12, with events spread across Poggio Valicaia Park. Among the announced proposals:
