International blues, soul, and funk at the foot of the Dolomites
The Dolomiti Blues & Soul Festival is a traveling summer event that enlivens several municipalities in the Cadore region, in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In 2026, it will reach its 25th edition, offering a lineup of blues, soul, swing, and funk concerts with Italian and international artists between mid-July and the end of August, held in evocative locations such as historic sawmills, squares, and mountain halls.
San Vito di Cadore, in the province of Belluno, is one of the festival's main stops and hosts multiple events. Concerts take place at the Segheria De Vido, a charming venue linked to the tradition of woodworking in Cadore, and at the town's Sala Congressi (Congress Hall). Here, internationally renowned swing, blues, and soul ensembles perform, with a program ranging from the swing of the 1920s-30s to contemporary soul.
Among the guests of recent editions are Lou Marini, the historic saxophonist of the Blues Brothers, and British singer Sarah Jane Morris. The festival's formula combines artistic quality and accessibility: many concerts are by free donation, while ticketed events feature major artists. Participating means experiencing great live music in one of the most fascinating corners of the Venetian Alps.
The 2026 edition, the 25th of the Dolomiti Blues & Soul Festival, takes place from July 18 to August 23 throughout the Cadore region. In San Vito di Cadore, four events are scheduled at the Segheria De Vido and the Sala Congressi, featuring internationally renowned blues, swing, and soul artists. Many festival concerts are by free donation; ticketed events are planned for major artists.
The festival continues in other Cadore municipalities (Pieve di Cadore, Valle di Cadore, Cibiana, Borca, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Val di Zoldo, and others) from July 18 to August 23.
San Vito di Cadore is located along the SS51 Alemagna road, between Cortina d'Ampezzo and Pieve di Cadore. By car, it can be reached from Belluno or from the A27 motorway (Belluno exit). The nearest airport is Venice.
Many concerts are by free donation; for events with renowned artists (e.g., Lou Marini, Sarah Jane Morris), a ticket is required (โฌ20), available in advance at the San Vito di Cadore Tourist Office.
