The "Doi Pass per Mondvì" — literally "a stroll through Mondovì" in the Piedmontese dialect — is one of the most deeply rooted and anticipated summer events in the Municipality of Mondovì, in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. Every Wednesday evening in July, starting at 9:00 PM, the historic Mondovì Breo district comes alive with late-night shopping, live music, performances, exhibitions, family entertainment, and gourmet food, offering residents and tourists evenings filled with fun and conviviality.
A proven format: the SMAC
The festival's philosophy is captured in the acronym SMAC — Shopping, Musica, Arte e Cultura (Shopping, Music, Art, and Culture). The streets and squares of the commercial heart of Breo (including Piazza Cesare Battisti, Piazza Ellero, Corso Statuto, and the smaller squares in the center) host merchant stalls and illuminated shop windows until midnight, while Piazza Roma features a dedicated street food area every evening. Concerts, bands, DJ sets, performances, and cultural initiatives are spread across the district, creating a multi-stage route to be enjoyed while strolling, just as the name suggests.
A history spanning over thirty years
Launched in 1995, the event reached its 30th anniversary in 2025 and celebrates its 31st edition in 2026. Over the years, the "Doi Pass" has become the symbol of the Monregalese summer, attracting thousands of visitors from across the Granda area and showcasing local businesses and the identity of Mondovì's historic center.
More than just Wednesdays: a summer of events
The festival is part of a broader city summer calendar. Collateral events include Cinema under the stars on Tuesday evenings in Piazza Maggiore (in the picturesque Mondovì Piazza, accessible via the historic funicular), as well as concerts, musical reviews, and the Artistic Craft Exhibition held around Ferragosto, one of the longest-running in Italy.
Organizers
The "Doi Pass per Mondvì" is organized by the Associazione La Funicolare — the Natural Shopping Center of Mondovì — in collaboration with and with the support of the Municipality of Mondovì, with the backing of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cuneo and the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce. Admission to all evenings is free.

In the summer of 2026, the "Doi Pass per Mondvì" returns for its 31st edition: the city calendar confirms the event every Wednesday in July in the squares of the center, following the established formula that combines evening shopping, live music, art, culture, and street food (SMAC concept).
The evenings kick off at 9:00 PM in the Breo district, with shops open until midnight and the gastronomic area in Piazza Roma. The 2026 edition is part of a rich summer program organized by the Associazione La Funicolare with the Municipality of Mondovì, which also includes special guests and numerous side events.

How to get there
By car: Mondovì is accessible via the A6 Turin-Savona motorway, taking the Mondovì exit. The Breo district, where the event takes place, is located near the station.
By train: The Mondovì station is served by lines from Turin, Cuneo, and Savona; the Breo district is just a few minutes' walk away.
Hours and admission
Evenings start at 9:00 PM and continue until late, with shops remaining open until midnight. The street food area in Piazza Roma opens in the early evening. Admission is free.
