Dining with the Winemakers of Radda is the most anticipated food and wine event of the Radda summer: a grand open-air gala dinner held in Piazza Ferrucci, in the historic center of Radda in Chianti, a town in the province of Siena in the heart of Tuscany. Organized by the Associazione Vignaioli di Radda ETS, the evening gathers producers, guests, and enthusiasts at a single table to celebrate the Sangiovese of this corner of the Sienese Chianti.

53017, the winemakers' wine

At the heart of the event is 53017 – Vino dei Vignaioli di Radda, a collective Sangiovese named after the town's postal code. Born from the collaboration of twenty-five member wineries, it is one of the most original projects in the Italian wine scene: each cellar contributes its own grapes to a blend that tells the story of the territory's shared identity. The wine is presented in hand-numbered Magnum bottles and aged at the Castello di Albola. Each year, the dinner coincides with the unveiling of a new vintage, a symbolic moment for the entire winemaking community.

The guest chef's cuisine

Each edition entrusts the menu to a guest chef who reinterprets Chianti traditions and products, pairing dishes with the 53017 and wines from the member estates. The courses range from traditional Tuscan appetizers to dessert, with a focus on seasonality and local ingredients.
