Gourmet cuisine, Isarco Valley wines, and live music in Piazza Duomo, Bressanone
Every summer, the scenic Piazza Duomo in Bressanone (Brixen), located in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, hosts Dine, Wine & Music, one of the most anticipated culinary events of the South Tyrolean summer. Beneath the towers of the Cathedral, local restaurateurs set up their stands, transforming the square into a refined open-air restaurant where visitors can wander from stall to stall, curating their own personal tasting journey.
The heart of the event is the marriage of haute cuisine and white wines from the Isarco Valley. Bressanone's chefs offer a menu ranging from traditional South Tyrolean specialties to creative contemporary interpretations, featuring meat, fish, and vegetarian options. These are paired with a selection of Isarco Valley white wines, celebrated for their finesse and deep connection to the terroir; the valley is renowned for varieties such as Sylvaner, Kerner, Grüner Veltliner, and Gewürztraminer, which pair perfectly with mountain cuisine.
Between courses, the evening is brought to life by live music. Bands and performers take turns on the stage set up in the square, playing a mix of lounge, pop, funk, and brass, creating a relaxed and convivial atmosphere that invites guests to listen and dance late into the night.
Dine, Wine & Music is a certified GreenEvent, emphasizing local products, reusable tableware, recycled paper materials, public water stations, and incentives for public transport. The event is organized by Bressanone Tourism in collaboration with local restaurateurs and the HGV hotelier association, standing as a staple of the Bressanone summer calendar in Trentino-Alto Adige.
Bressanone is the oldest city in Tyrol and the main hub of the Isarco Valley. Its historic center, featuring Piazza Duomo, the Bishop's Palace, and the arcades, provides the ideal backdrop for an evening dedicated to the good life, where gastronomy, music, and heritage blend into a unique experience.
For the 2026 edition, scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, starting at 6:00 PM in Piazza Duomo, eleven restaurants from Bressanone and the surrounding area will participate: Sunnegg, Soley, Pachers, Finsterwirt, Löwenhof, Alpenrose, Kircherhof, Alter Schlachthof/Badhaus, Grissino/MyArbor, and Vinus.
The wine selection includes eight white wines from the Isarco Valley, chosen to complement the specialties served in the square. The evening's soundtrack will be provided by two live acts: The Bruggs, a father-daughter duo, and Rifflblech, a brass ensemble with an energetic sound.
The GreenEvent certification is confirmed, featuring reusable tableware, vegetarian options, recycled paper materials, and public water stations. For the occasion, bus line 320.1 will be extended until midnight.
