The summer cultural festival in the village of Val di Non
Denno Summer is the summer cultural festival of the small town of Denno, a village in the Val di Non in the province of Trento, in the heart of the Trentino-Alto Adige region. For over a month, from early July to the second half of August, the village transforms into a widespread stage: squares, the courtyards of historic buildings, and even a high-altitude mountain pasture become the setting for concerts, shows, screenings, and meetings, all free and open to residents and visitors alike.
The festival is designed for audiences of all ages and weaves together different artistic languages. Throughout the evenings, there is a rotation of concerts by international ensembles, theatrical performances dedicated to civic themes and legality, outdoor film screenings featuring auteur films and family animations, as well as literary paths, readings, and creative workshops for children.
The events take place in the most picturesque spots of Denno: Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, Piazzetta Belfanti, Piazzetta San Giovanni, the courtyards of Palazzo Paternoster and Palazzo Parisi, Parco Zadra, and, at a higher altitude, Malga Arza at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites. In case of bad weather, appointments are moved to the school auditorium, keeping the same times.
Denno Summer was born from the collaboration between the Pro Loco of Denno and the Department of Cultural Activities of the Municipality of Denno, with the support of the Cassa Rurale and the collaboration of the Volunteer Fire Department. Over the years, the festival has involved local entities such as the Musicanti Nonesi, the bands of the Lower Val di Non, and local cultural associations, confirming itself as a hallmark of the Val di Non summer and a way to experience the village and its traditions in a new light.
The 2026 edition of the festival kicks off on Friday, July 10th with the inauguration of the exhibition Alcide De Gasperi, Album Trentino in the town hall atrium (5:00 PM) and, in the evening, with an international-flavored concert by the Lakshmi Trio in the courtyard of Palazzo Paternoster. The calendar continues until Sunday, August 23rd, alternating theater, music, cinema, and readings in the most beautiful spots of Denno.
Denno is located in Val di Non, in the province of Trento. By car from the A22 Brenner motorway, take the San Michele all'Adige-Mezzocorona exit, then the SS43 towards Val di Non. The nearest train station is served by the Trento-Malรจ-Mezzana line.
All festival events are free of charge. Performances take place outdoors in the squares and courtyards of the historic center; in case of bad weather, they are moved to the school auditorium at the same times.
Program and updates are available from the Municipality of Denno and the local Pro Loco.
