About Countryfest Prad
A slice of the Far West in South Tyrol
Countryfest Prad is a one-of-a-kind event: the only festival entirely dedicated to country music in South Tyrol. It takes place in Prato allo Stelvio (Prad am Stilfserjoch), a municipality in the Vinschgau Valley at the foot of the Stelvio Pass, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. For the occasion, the village sports area is transformed into Sacramento City, an authentic western town complete with saloons, tents, and settings that recreate the atmosphere of the Wild West.
Music, food, and entertainment
The heart of the festival is live country music, with bands and artists taking turns on stage throughout the weekend. Alongside the concerts, there is a rich entertainment program designed for both adults and children: pony rides, tomahawk throwing, carriage rides, games, and themed shows. The food stalls offer typical Western dishes, accompanied by beer and local specialties.
A community event
Countryfest is organized by ASV Prad Hockey, the local ice hockey club, and is one of the most anticipated events of the late summer in the Vinschgau Valley. The festival, which celebrated its twenty-fifth edition in 2025, attracts country music fans and families from across the Vinschgau Valley and all of South Tyrol every year.

On Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, 2026, Countryfest Prad returns to Prato allo Stelvio in the western town of Sacramento City, set up at the village sports area. The program includes live country music concerts, Wild West-themed cuisine, and numerous activities for families: pony rides, tomahawk throwing, and carriage rides.
Artists announced for the 2026 edition include Ina Pross, Santoni & Guest, Blueground & Klará (from the Czech Republic), and Emir Treré, as well as dance performances by Caramelka and western stunts by Mike Togni. The event is organized by ASV Prad Hockey.

How to get there
Prato allo Stelvio can be reached by car via the SS38 Vinschgau road; it is about an hour's drive from Merano. By train, take the Merano-Malles line to the Spondigna/Silandro station, then continue by local bus. The event is held in Sacramento City, at the village sports area.
