The 10 km road running race of the Terra di Bari circuit
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
CorriBitritto is the traditional road race that, every December, turns the streets of the Town of Bitritto, in the province of Bari, into a grand stage for running enthusiasts. Reaching its eighteenth edition in 2025, the event has become a staple of the Apulian running calendar, drawing hundreds of athletes from all over Puglia and neighboring regions.
The heart of the day is the 10 km competitive race, held on a FIDAL-certified circuit starting and finishing in Piazza Aldo Moro, in the center of Bitritto. The route is fast and well-suited for quick times, with minimal elevation changes: the only notable climb is the short stretch on Via Randa, which crosses the Bitritto countryside before heading back into town. It is a course highly appreciated by runners looking to set a personal best over the distance.
Alongside the competitive race, there is a 5 km fun run, which is non-competitive and open to everyone: families, amateurs, and casual enthusiasts can walk or run the town streets together in a festive atmosphere. It is the perfect opportunity to experience the event without any pressure to perform, promoting sport as a moment of social connection and well-being.
CorriBitritto is part of the Terra di Bari circuit and the FIDAL Bari Provincial Trophy, the main benchmarks for road running in the Bari area. This inclusion guarantees a large and qualified turnout: in 2025, over 600 competitive athletes crossed the finish line, confirming the vitality of the local running scene.
The event is organized by A.S.D. Atletica Bitritto, a club that also manages an active youth sector, under the coordination of Domenico Ginefra. For years, the association has invested in promoting track and field in the town, making CorriBitritto its most important showcase.
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced. Following the 2025 race, the organizers suggested the possibility of a one-year break: to stay updated on the potential program for the next CorriBitritto, it is best to follow the official channels of A.S.D. Atletica Bitritto. Information will be updated as soon as it becomes available.
At the moment, there is no official information regarding the 2026 edition of CorriBitritto. The event is usually held in December in the town of Bitritto, in the province of Bari, but the dates for the next edition have not yet been announced, and the organization has suggested the possibility of a sabbatical year.
