ScopriaMola in Tour is a territorial development project that transforms Mola di Bari into an open-air museum. Promoted by the Municipality of Mola di Bari and organized by the Visit Mola di Bari association, the calendar brings together guided tours, thematic itineraries, and special events that guide residents and tourists through the historical, artistic, and landscape heritage of this Apulian City of Art on the Adriatic coast.
Three seasonal editions
The program runs throughout the year and is divided into three distinct phases, each designed to showcase different facets of the city:
- Spring Edition — classic tours and routes through historic villas and the local landscape, when spring brings color to the countryside and the coast;
- Summer Edition — thematic itineraries focused on the sea and maritime traditions, the heart of the identity of a city that has always looked out over the Adriatic;
- Autumn & Christmas Edition — a journey through music, local history, and memory that leads the public through to the holiday season.
Places close to the heart
The routes pass through some of Mola's most iconic landmarks. Recurring stops include the majestic Angevin-Aragonese Castle overlooking the harbor, the exquisite Niccolò van Westerhout Municipal Theatre, Palazzo Roberti Alberotanza, and the churches of the historic center, as well as glimpses of the old village and its hamlets. The program also features unique experiences such as astronomical observations, routes along the Via Francigena del Sud, and special openings of sites usually closed to the public.
