Corri Francavilla is the most anticipated running event in Francavilla Fontana, located in the heart of northern Salento, in the province of Brindisi, Puglia. Every year, the event attracts hundreds of athletes, enthusiasts, and casual walkers who gather in the streets and avenues of the 'City of the Imperials' to share a morning dedicated to sport, movement, and community spirit.

An 8-kilometre race

The heart of the event is the 8-kilometre competitive road race, valid for the 'Sulle Vie di Brento' Provincial Circuit, which brings together the main running races in the Brindisi area. The route winds through the city streets, starting and finishing in the centre of Francavilla Fontana, offering athletes a fast, smooth course immersed in the atmosphere of the old town.

More than just competition

Alongside the race reserved for registered athletes, ASD Team Francavilla organizes a non-competitive fun run, open to everyone upon signing a waiver. It is the perfect opportunity for families, children, and people of all fitness levels to join the festivities, walking or running without the pressure of the clock. The event, which has also been linked to the theme of legality over the years, has become a true moment of gathering for the entire community.

A community event

Corri Francavilla is held under the patronage of the Municipality of Francavilla Fontana and with the support of FIDAL - Provincial Committee of Brindisi. The event involves volunteers, local associations, and law enforcement to ensure safety along the route and transform a spring-summer Sunday into a true popular celebration of sport.
