Four days of cross-pollination between jazz, singer-songwriter music, and visual arts at the Teatro Politeama in Poggibonsi.
Connetto Festival is one of the most compelling events in the central Tuscany music scene. Born in Poggibonsi, in the province of Siena, as a preview to the Piazze d'Armi e di Cittร festival, it has steadily established itself as an independent event dedicated to all forms of artistic growth and connection between different worlds. The name itself, Connetto (I connect), encapsulates the festival's philosophy: creating a dialogue between jazz, singer-songwriter music, electronica, sound research, and visual arts.
The beating heart of the festival is the Teatro Politeama in Poggibonsi, a historic hub of local cultural life managed by the Fondazione E.L.S.A. as part of the DISCIPLINE(s) project. Evening concerts take place in the theater hall, while the final day moves to Bottega Roots in Colle Val d'Elsa, a space dedicated to live music culture. This dual identity allows the festival to showcase the Valdelsa region through different yet complementary venues.
The artistic direction is led by Giulia Galliani and Giovanni Benvenuti, two figures deeply rooted in the Tuscan music scene. The program alternates concerts by established Italian jazz artists with original projects, open rehearsals, contemporary art exhibitions, and in-depth discussions, with a constant focus on young local talent. The festival is promoted by the Municipality of Poggibonsi in collaboration with Fondazione E.L.S.A./Teatro Politeama, Music Pool, Mag Collective, and Bottega Roots.
For those visiting Tuscany in May, Connetto Festival is the perfect opportunity to discover a vibrant and culturally active Poggibonsi, off the beaten tourist path but capable of offering high-quality national programming.
The 2026 edition of Connetto Festival confirmed the event's winning formula: four days packed with music and art, split between the Teatro Politeama in Poggibonsi and the Bottega Roots in Colle Val d'Elsa. The lineup intertwined contemporary jazz, original projects, art exhibitions, and in-depth sessions, with a special focus on new releases and young local talent. The artistic direction of Giulia Galliani and Giovanni Benvenuti proposed a journey ranging from guitar trios to experimental sounds, and even the intersection of jazz and hip-hop culture.
Teatro Politeama is located on Via Trento, in the center of Poggibonsi. The town is well-connected: by train, it is served by the Poggibonsi-San Gimignano station on the Empoli-Siena line; by car, it can be reached via the Florence-Siena highway (Poggibonsi Nord or Sud exit).
Full-price concert tickets are 12 euros, with a reduced rate of 10 euros (for under-25s and ARCI members). Exhibitions and some meetings are free of charge. Presale and information available at www.eventimusicpool.it.
The final day takes place at Bottega Roots in Colle Val d'Elsa, just a few kilometers from Poggibonsi: please check the address and schedule to plan your travel between the two venues.
