Every year, in late spring, the hilltop village of Coniolo, in the province of Alessandria, in the heart of the Casalese Monferrato, dresses up in flowers and becomes the stage for Coniolo Fiori, one of the most appreciated flower and nursery market exhibitions in Piedmont. A path winds through the streets of the historic center, among stalls, nurseries, and green installations, attracting gardening enthusiasts, curious visitors, and families from all over the region and beyond.
Excellent nurseries and collector's plants
The heart of the event is the quality of the exhibitors: nationally and internationally renowned nurserymen offer ornamental plants, seasonal flowers, rare species, prized roses, and garden furniture and equipment. Among the historic protagonists are Rose Barni from Pistoia, the Italian leader in rose hybridization, and Vivai Pozzo from Cavaglià, present since the very first edition, alongside names like Fratelli Gramaglia, Vivai Floricoltura Graziella, and numerous local nurserymen.

Coniolo Fiori is not just a market: it is also an opportunity for meeting and outreach. The program offers conferences, floral arrangement demonstrations, workshops, and talks with industry experts. The 24th edition of Coniolo Fiori brought the village of Coniolo (AL) to life on May 23 and 24, 2026, confirming its status as a benchmark flower and nursery market exhibition in Piedmont. Along the village streets, nurserymen such as Rose Barni, Vivai Pozzo, Fratelli Gramaglia, and Floricoltura Graziella showcased ornamental plants, roses, seasonal flowers, garden decor, and tools, alongside the finest food products from Monferrato.
The program featured an official opening with local authorities, floral arrangement demonstrations, gardening talks, and the presentation of the Massimo Matteini Award. There was also a focus on green culture with the "Verde Comune" conference and sensory workshops organized by Asproflor for adults and children. The event is part of the Riso & Rose in Monferrato circuit.
