Three days of parade floats, costumes, and street food in the heart of Collegno
The Collegno Carnival is one of the most cherished popular festivals in the western suburbs of Turin. Every year, as spring approaches, the center of Collegno—located in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont—bursts with color, music, and joy for three days dedicated to fun for all ages. The event, which reached its 21st edition in 2026, is now a staple of the local calendar, attracting thousands of visitors from across the Turin metropolitan area every year.
The highlight is the parade of floats, a procession brimming with music, imagination, and creativity that winds through the city streets. Carefully crafted floats, costumed groups, and lively entertainment parade among the celebrating crowds, putting on a show that is particularly beloved by families. A recent addition is the inclusive "Carcarin" float, a symbol of a festival designed to be accessible and open to everyone.
The Collegno Carnival is more than just parades. The streets and squares of the center come alive with a market, a large carnival fair featuring exhibitors and local crafts, amusement rides for the little ones, and numerous street food stalls offering delicious specialties to enjoy throughout the event. There are also workshops, family entertainment, and musical moments featuring DJ sets and tribute concerts.
Organized by the City of Collegno in collaboration with the Merchants' Association, the carnival primarily enlivens Piazza della Repubblica, Viale XXIV Maggio, and Piazza I Maggio. It is an event that promotes local commerce and public spaces, confirming Collegno as a vibrant community that loves to come together. Admission is free, with a program designed to engage all ages.
Located just a few kilometers from Turin and easily accessible by subway, Collegno offers carnival-goers the chance to discover its historic center and the famous Certosa Reale complex. The festival is the perfect opportunity to spend a day with the family, immersed in Piedmontese tradition, color, and flavor.
