The Pro Loco summer festival in the heart of the Alto Canavese
The Prascorsano Summer Festival is one of the most cherished summer events in the municipality of Prascorsano, a small village in the Province of Turin nestled in the hills of the Alto Canavese, within the Val Gallenca Mountain Union. Organized by the Pro Loco Prascorsano in collaboration with the municipality and local associations, the event transforms the town center for a few days into a large festival space, where the community gathers and welcomes visitors from neighboring towns.
The heart of the festival has always been its gastronomy: under the covered pavilion, a food and wine stand is set up, offering traditional Piedmontese dishes and the specialties that have made the event famous in past editions. Evenings are spent among long tables, draft beer, and cocktails in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. For those wishing to dine at the stand, reservations are usually recommended, given the public's fondness for the Pro Loco's cooking.
Alongside the culinary offerings, the Summer Festival features evenings of live music and dancing, entertainment for all ages, tournaments, and games that involve both adults and children. It is the perfect opportunity to experience typical summer village nights, with orchestras, DJ sets, and performances that continue late into the warm July evenings.
Visiting the Summer Festival is also a way to discover Prascorsano and its surroundings: a quiet corner of the Canavese region at the foot of the mountains, rich in rural traditions and a strong sense of community. The Pro Loco enlivens the local calendar with various events throughout the year, from the Summer Festival to the Grape Harvest Festival and the Wild Boar Festival in September, but it is during the summer festival that the town best showcases its hospitality and convivial spirit.
The 2026 Prascorsano Summer Festival will take place from Friday, July 10, to Sunday, July 12, 2026, according to the official calendar of the Municipality of Prascorsano. The Pro Loco returns to liven up the town center with its usual program of gastronomic evenings, live music, dancing, and games.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, including the nightly schedule and musical guests, will be announced by the Pro Loco in the weeks leading up to the event. As per tradition, the event will feature a food stand with traditional dishes, beer, and cocktails, as well as dance evenings and entertainment for all ages.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the Pro Loco Prascorsano in the weeks preceding the event. Based on previous editions, the festival is spread over three evenings (July 10-12) with the opening of the food stand, live music, dancing, and games in the town center. For updates, please refer to the official channels of the Pro Loco and the Municipality of Prascorsano.
