The new circus arrives in the White City

During the holiday season, the large Circo Madera tent is set up in Ostuni, in the province of Brindisi, bringing the language of contemporary circus to Puglia. Far from the stereotypes of the traditional circus, Madera offers a portable theater where artistic quality comes first: acrobatics, juggling, comedy, and live music intertwine in shows designed to thrill both adults and children.

An ethical choice: no animals on stage

The company stands out for a clear and declared choice: no animals on stage. Instead, they feature acrobats, artists, and clowns ready to amaze with talent, creativity, and irony. Founded in 2020 from the meeting of circus artists, actors, comedians, musicians, singers, and visual artists, Madera is today one of the few contemporary circus groups in Italy to offer most of its events on a voluntary contribution basis, to ensure accessibility and inclusion.

The tent in Ostuni

The large tent is set up at the Parcheggio Comunale del Pinto, just a stone's throw from the center of Ostuni. The structure is covered and heated, so shows go on even in case of rain or winter cold. In addition to circus shows, the program includes moments of sharing and fun: karaoke with live music, creative workshops for children, teenagers, and adults, musical appointments, and a special New Year's Eve party.
