About Cinecittà Street Food

The Typical Truck Street Food format arrives in Cinecittà for the first time: the Via Stefano Oberto area, next to Parco Michele Giraldi, transforms into the neighborhood's largest open-air restaurant. Over twenty Street Chefs cook fresh dishes from food trucks and cooking stands, blending Italian traditions with international cuisines, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Always free entry, unfiltered craft beer, signature cocktails, lights, music, and spacious seating areas for three days of celebration.

Street food comes to Cinecittà

With Cinecittà TTS Street Food, the traveling Typical Truck Street Food village makes its debut in one of Rome's most iconic neighborhoods, within the 7th Municipality. The parking area on Via Stefano Oberto, adjacent to Parco Michele Giraldi, is set up with scenery, light displays, and large seating areas: for three days, it effectively becomes the neighborhood's largest open-air restaurant, just a stone's throw from the historic film studios that gave this part of the city its name.

Over twenty Street Chefs in the kitchen

The heart of the event is the selection of over twenty Street Chefs cooking fresh food on-site from equipped food trucks and cooking stands. The gastronomic offerings span the whole of Italy—Puglian bombette and specialties, Abruzzese arrosticini, Sicilian fried foods and desserts, and flavors from the Marche region—before opening up to the rest of the world with tacos and Mexican cuisine, Venezuelan arepas, Greek and Indian street food, Spanish paella, Argentine asado, and American BBQ.

  • Savory and sweet dishes prepared on the spot in front of the audience
  • Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, with dedicated stations like «A Tutto Mais»
  • Street desserts: tiramisu, crêpes, cannoli, and cassatine

Unfiltered beer, cocktails, and conviviality

Exclusively for the TTS Food circuit, unfiltered craft beer produced by the Bavarian brewery Landshuter Brauhaus is on tap, while cocktails and spritzes are crafted by the Drink Lab, a bar staffed by professional bartenders in collaboration with Campari Group. Water is served in recyclable Tetra Pak cartons, in line with the plastic-reduction commitment the format upholds at all its Roman stops.

A neighborhood event, not just a food fair

The philosophy of the TTS village is openly social: it is not about eating in a hurry, but about coming together. The long rows of tables, background music, evening lighting, and the presence of families, groups of friends, and residents make these days a social highlight for the neighborhood. Entry is always free, you only pay for what you consume, and the continuous opening hours allow you to stop by for lunch, dinner, or just an aperitif.

Cinecittà, the 7th Municipality, and Lazio

Cinecittà is a neighborhood in the south-east quadrant of the Municipality of Rome, in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, in Lazio. Known worldwide for the soundstages that have hosted great Italian and international cinema, it is today a vibrant and densely populated urban fabric, well-connected by the metro. Bringing the street food village here means integrating the event into a Roman tradition of neighborhood festivals and street fairs that, from the historic center to the suburbs, have always marked the capital's calendar.

The TTS Food tour in the capital

Organized by Mela Eventi, the Typical Truck Street Food format travels throughout Rome all year round, with stops in ever-changing neighborhoods, from Villa Gordiani to Porta Portese, from Casal de Pazzi to Trastevere and San Pietro. Each stop maintains the same formula—a selection of street chefs, free entry, curated setups—adapting it to the spaces and the public of the hosting neighborhood. The Cinecittà stop represents one of the most anticipated expansions of the circuit.

Cinecittà Street Food — edition 2026

The very first edition of the TTS Food village in Cinecittà: from May 8th to 10th, 2026, the Via Stefano Oberto area, next to Parco Michele Giraldi, hosted over twenty Street Chefs with food trucks and cooking stands. Three days of free entry featuring Italian regional specialties and world cuisines, Bavarian craft beer, Drink Lab cocktails, music, lights, and large seating areas in the heart of the 7th Municipality.

The debut in Cinecittà

The 2026 edition marked the first arrival of the Typical Truck Street Food format in the Cinecittà neighborhood, Rome. The Via Stefano Oberto parking lot was entirely set up with scenery, evening lighting, and large seating areas, transforming into the largest open-air restaurant in the area for three consecutive days.

The gastronomic offer

Over twenty selected Street Chefs cooked fresh food in front of the public, alternating Italian tradition—Puglian bombette, Abruzzese arrosticini, Sicilian fried foods and desserts, and flavors from the Marche—with international cuisines, from Mexico to Venezuela, Greece to India, Spain to Argentina, and American BBQ. There was no shortage of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, with dedicated stands like «A Tutto Mais», nor street desserts such as tiramisu, crêpes, cannoli, and cassatine.

Drinks and atmosphere

Exclusively for the circuit, unfiltered craft beer from the Bavarian brewery Landshuter Brauhaus was served, while the Drink Lab bar, created with Campari Group, offered cocktails and spritzes prepared by professional bartenders. Water was served in recyclable Tetra Pak cartons. Background music and light displays accompanied the evenings.
