The Game Vintage Market is one of Italy's largest thematic markets dedicated to retrogaming and video game collecting. It takes place in the City of Rome, in the Lazio region, within the Fusolab 2.0 space on Viale della Bella Villa, in the Alessandrino district, just a stone's throw from Centocelle. More than just a trade fair, it is a community gathering: collectors, enthusiasts, families, and curious visitors browse stalls packed with eighties and nineties consoles, cartridges, arcade cabinets, and memorabilia that tell the story of forty years of video game history.

Over 90 exhibitors from all over Italy

Each edition brings together more than ninety exhibitors from every corner of the peninsula. The selection is vast and goes far beyond video games in the strict sense, covering the entire universe of collectible pop culture.

• Retrogaming: vintage consoles, original hardware, rare cartridges, accessories, and historical magazines.
• Cards and board games: Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering cards, board games, and role-playing games.
• Pop culture: action figures, Funko Pops, scale models, manga, comics, and merchandise.
• Custom art: unique works and artisanal pieces inspired by pixel worlds.

More than just buying and selling

The program goes beyond the stalls. The halls of Fusolab host free tournaments and workshops open to everyone, designed to bring together joystick veterans and the younger generation discovering the medium today. Gaming stations with preview titles are often set up, and some editions feature collaborations with industry players: in November 2025, for example, the market was held in conjunction with the RES – Roma Electronic Sport festival, bringing esports tournaments, simulators, virtual and augmented reality experiences, panels, and meetings to the same space.

Fusolab 2.0, a suburban cultural factory

The venue is an integral part of the event's identity. Fusolab 2.0 is a self-managed cultural and sports center that has been working in Rome's eastern suburbs for years with courses, concerts, children's activities, and neighborhood projects. Hosting a collectibles event here means keeping it away from expensive trade fair circuits: admission is by voluntary donation, the formula remains popular and accessible, and the atmosphere is that of an informal cultural center rather than a sterile exhibition hall.

An event that repeats throughout the year

The Game Vintage Market is not a one-off event but a series with multiple annual dates, which in recent years have been spread across winter, spring, and autumn. This frequency has built a stable community of exhibitors and visitors around the event who look forward to every return, with special editions dedicated each time to a specific theme, iconic character, or collaboration.

Eating and socializing

The food court is managed by local kitchens offering artisanal street food: in recent years, this has been handled by FUK – Urban Kitchen and Fucina Alessandrina. It is one of the aspects that makes the event suitable for a full day out with the family, with the chance to alternate hunting for rare items with breaks at the bar and free-play gaming sessions.

Who it is for

It is a cross-generational event: expert collectors come to find that missing title or console model, casual visitors enjoy the pleasure of getting their hands on a machine they haven't seen in thirty years, and younger visitors come for the cards, figures, and tournaments. The intergenerational dimension is intentional and is what distinguishes the Game Vintage Market from a simple flea market.
