The municipality of Trevi nel Lazio stands at an altitude of over 800 meters in the Upper Aniene Valley, within the territory of the Simbruini Mountains Regional Natural Park, on the border between the Ciociaria region and the Lazio mountains. The village, dominated by the massive Castello Caetani, preserves a historic center of alleys, stairways, and stone houses that becomes a particularly evocative setting during the Christmas period, often made even more magical by the mountain climate. The initiative is also promoted through the channels of the Simbruini Mountains Regional Natural Park, which includes it among the events aimed at enhancing the villages of the protected area.

The markets take place during the Christmas holiday period, between late December and the first days of January, with opening days culminating in the Epiphany weekend. The edition spanning 2025 and 2026 took place from December 28, 2025, to January 4, 2026, with the final day on Sunday, January 4, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A visit to the markets can easily be combined with a walk through the village, discovering the Castello Caetani, and a winter hike in the Simbruini Mountains Park.
