The Christmas in the City event transforms the historic center into a trail of lights, music, and Christmas scents, with a rich calendar of events running from early December to mid-January. The program is organized by the Municipal Administration in collaboration with the Pro Loco and with the support of the Lazio Region, involving local associations, artisans, and merchants.
Markets, crafts, and flavors
The heart of the festival is the Christmas market, which enlivens Piazza Matteotti, the Vascello promenade, and the streets of the village. Among the stalls, you can find local handicrafts, gift ideas, handmade decorations, and gastronomic specialties of Ciociaria, in an atmosphere that combines tradition and conviviality. The events are concentrated mainly on weekends, when the squares fill with families and curious visitors.
A program for everyone
Alongside the markets, the program offers shows and entertainment designed for all ages:
- Santa's Village, where children can deliver their "Special Letter to Santa" and share their dreams;
- magic shows and street performers enlivening the alleys and squares;
- concerts and musical events, including sacred and folk music;

- art exhibitions and displays in the city's cultural spaces.

The Christmas in the City edition spanning 2025 and 2026 offered a widespread calendar of events in the historic center of Ferentino, on weekends from December to January.

- Saturday, December 6: inauguration of the exhibition "The Promised Land" at the Vicolo Sistitilio Gallery;
- Monday, December 8 (Immaculate Conception): "Special Immaculate Conception Christmas Market" at the Vascello promenade, with "Santa's Village", the delivery of the "Special Letter to Santa", magic shows, and street performers;
- Saturday, December 20: markets featuring tradition, crafts, and magic shows in Piazza Matteotti, with the awarding of the letters;
- On weekends, until Epiphany and beyond: Christmas markets, children's shows, and concerts.

"Christmas 2025 in Ferentino" Program
- Saturday, December 6 - 5:00 PM: inauguration of the "The Promised Land" exhibition, Vicolo Sistitilio Gallery (organized by the "Cardinale E. Filonardi" association).
- Monday, December 8 (Immaculate Conception) - from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM: "Special Immaculate Conception Christmas Market" at the Vascello promenade, in collaboration with the "Artigiani del Borgo"; 3:00 PM: "Santa's Village" with delivery of the "Special Letter to Santa", magic shows, and street performers.
- Saturday, December 20 - from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM: Christmas markets featuring tradition, crafts, and magic shows in Piazza Matteotti; 12:00 PM: awarding of the letters for Santa Claus.
- From December 6, 2025, to January 6, 2026 - every weekend (Saturday and Sunday): Christmas markets, children's shows, and concerts in the historic center.
- The program continued with concerts, exhibitions, and shows until mid-January.

How to get there
By car: A1 Milan-Naples motorway, exit Ferentino-Sgurgola; the historic center is just a few minutes away. By train: Ferentino-Supino station on the Rome-Cassino line, with connections to the center. Ferentino is about 70 km from Rome.
