The night when the center of Noci becomes a kingdom for the little ones
The Children's White Night is one of the most beloved summer events in Noci, a town in the Murgia dei Trulli in the province of Bari, in the heart of Apulia. Every year, on an August evening, the historic center opens its squares and streets to the little ones, turning into a vast space dedicated to play, performance, and imagination. The initiative, reaching its sixteenth edition in 2026, is now a classic of the Estate Nocese calendar.
The heart of the festival is Piazza Garibaldi and the nearby Via Aldo Moro, which for the occasion become a continuous path of attractions and entertainment. From dusk until late at night, the town fills with families strolling among the stations set up along the route.
The evening is promoted by the Delta Cultural Association together with the Municipality of Noci and local associations. The goal is to offer children and their families opportunities for play, social interaction, creativity, and cultural growth in a safe environment tailored to a young audience. Admission is free, making the festival accessible to everyone.
The Children's White Night is part of the rich Estate Nocese calendar, which enlivens the town from June to October with concerts, cinema, theater, sports, culture, and tradition. The program, built through the collaboration between the municipal administration, associations, and local organizations, enhances the squares and iconic spots of the historic center, as part of the Pietramadre – Capital of Culture of Apulia 2026 project.
Nestled in the Itria Valley, Noci is famous for its historic center made of gnostre (small courtyards), alleys, and white houses, and for a gastronomy that smells of cheeses, cured meats, and traditional peasant dishes. Experiencing the Children's White Night is also an opportunity to discover an authentic village in Apulia, where hospitality and a sense of community remain the protagonists.
The 16th Children's White Night will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, in Noci, in the province of Bari, between Piazza Garibaldi and Via Aldo Moro. The well-established event is confirmed within the Estate Nocese 2026 calendar, which this year is linked to the Pietramadre – Capital of Culture of Apulia 2026 project.
As per tradition, the historic center will transform into a large playground for the little ones, with street performers, entertainment, bouncy castles, and free-admission shows. The detailed program of the edition will be published by the organizers close to the date.
By car: Noci can be reached via the SS 172 dei Trulli road; ample parking is available on the outskirts of the center. By train: the Noci station is served by the Ferrovie del Sud Est (Bari–Putignano–Martina Franca line). By plane: Bari-Palese airport is about 60 km away.
The event takes place in the evening, from dusk until late at night, between Piazza Garibaldi and Via Aldo Moro. Admission is free. It is recommended to arrive in the center early to find parking.
