About Children's White Night

The Children's White Night is the most anticipated summer event for families in Noci, located in the heart of the Murgia dei Trulli in the province of Bari. For one evening, the historic center transforms into a massive open-air playground: Piazza Garibaldi and Via Aldo Moro fill with street performers, entertainment shows, bouncy castles, games, and workshops designed for children. It is a free event part of the Estate Nocese (Noci Summer) that blends fun, social interaction, and Apulian popular tradition, engaging children, parents, and grandparents until late at night.

The Children's White Night in Noci

The Children's White Night is one of the most beloved summer events in Noci, a town in the Murgia dei Trulli in the province of Bari, in the heart of Apulia. Every year, on an August evening, the historic center opens its squares and streets to the little ones, turning into a vast space dedicated to play, performance, and imagination. The initiative, reaching its sixteenth edition in 2026, is now a classic of the Estate Nocese calendar.

A historic center turned into a playground

The heart of the festival is Piazza Garibaldi and the nearby Via Aldo Moro, which for the occasion become a continuous path of attractions and entertainment. From dusk until late at night, the town fills with families strolling among the stations set up along the route.

  • Street performers: storytellers, stilt walkers, jugglers, fire-eaters, and giant bubbles
  • Mascots, clowns, and roving entertainment
  • Bouncy castles, wooden games, and recreational activities for all ages
  • Shows, puppet theater, and live entertainment moments
  • Creative workshops and corners dedicated to the little ones

A project designed for families

The evening is promoted by the Delta Cultural Association together with the Municipality of Noci and local associations. The goal is to offer children and their families opportunities for play, social interaction, creativity, and cultural growth in a safe environment tailored to a young audience. Admission is free, making the festival accessible to everyone.

Part of the Estate Nocese

The Children's White Night is part of the rich Estate Nocese calendar, which enlivens the town from June to October with concerts, cinema, theater, sports, culture, and tradition. The program, built through the collaboration between the municipal administration, associations, and local organizations, enhances the squares and iconic spots of the historic center, as part of the Pietramadre – Capital of Culture of Apulia 2026 project.

Noci, between trulli and Murgia

Nestled in the Itria Valley, Noci is famous for its historic center made of gnostre (small courtyards), alleys, and white houses, and for a gastronomy that smells of cheeses, cured meats, and traditional peasant dishes. Experiencing the Children's White Night is also an opportunity to discover an authentic village in Apulia, where hospitality and a sense of community remain the protagonists.
