A festive afternoon dedicated to children at Parco Arcobaleno in Pomarolo
In the heart of the Vallagarina valley, the town of Pomarolo (Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige) hosts the Children's Carnival every winter, a popular festival tailored for children and their families. The event transforms Parco Arcobaleno, on Piazzale Angheben, into a cheerful playground filled with masks, confetti, music, and delicious local food.
The Children's Carnival stems from the collaboration between the Pro Loco of Pomarolo and the Noi Oratorio S. Cristoforo APS, with the active involvement of the Pomarolo Youth Group. It is an event deeply rooted in the life of the village, where associations and volunteers work together to offer a free afternoon of celebration open to everyone. The invitation to the community is clear: wear your carnival costume and help make the day even more vibrant.
The festivities kick off in the early afternoon with the opening of the food area, where you can savor the flavors of the Trentino tradition: polenta conza, hot sandwiches, and drinks. The highlight is the parade by the F. and G. Fontana Musical Band of Pomarolo, which accompanies children and families with its music. Following this, games, entertainment, and activities organized by the Youth Group ensure a fun-filled afternoon for the little ones.
The festival is set in Parco Arcobaleno, a green space equipped with play areas where children can move freely, featuring a climbing wall castle and swings. It is the ideal setting for an event dedicated to childhood, combining safety, nature, and joy.
The Children's Carnival of Pomarolo is part of the rich calendar of the Vallagarina Carnival, a constellation of festivals that animate the valley's towns between late January and spring with parades, masks, allegorical floats, and famous local culinary specialties. It is a chance to experience an authentic Trentino tradition, just a few kilometers from Rovereto.
