The premier reggae festival of the Capitanata region in Castelluccio dei Sauri
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Castlluzz in Reggae Festival was born in Castelluccio dei Sauri, a small village in the Daunian Subappennino in the province of Foggia, with the ambition of being the first festival dedicated to reggae music in the Capitanata. Organized by the social promotion association uto.Pia with the patronage of the Municipality of Castelluccio dei Sauri and the Regional Council of Puglia, the event has grown edition after edition to become a landmark for roots culture enthusiasts across the entire region.
The heart of the festival is live music: on the stage in Piazza San Giuseppe Artigiano, in the Villaggio Artigiani area, artists and producers from the Apulian and Italian reggae scene take turns. After the live performances, the evening continues late into the night with sound systems, a true symbol of Jamaican tradition, accompanying the audience with deep bass and offbeat rhythms.
Castlluzz in Reggae is not just a musical event, but a true community village. Alongside the concerts, you will find:
Each edition of the festival is accompanied by a strong theme linked to civic engagement: reggae music, with its message of freedom and rejection of all discrimination, becomes a tool to reflect on rights, equality, and coexistence. The festival has free admission and is entirely self-produced, the result of the work of the uto.Pia association volunteers and the support of the local community.
Located in the heart of the Capitanata, between Foggia and the Daunian Mountains, the Municipality of Castelluccio dei Sauri offers visitors the chance to discover an authentic corner of inland Puglia, far from the most beaten tourist paths. The Castlluzz in Reggae Festival thus combines the discovery of the territory, the typical hospitality of Apulian villages, and the unifying power of music, in a late summer evening dedicated to sharing.
The Castlluzz in Reggae Festival returns in 2026 to Castelluccio dei Sauri, in the province of Foggia, for a new edition of the first reggae festival in the Capitanata. The dates and program for the 2026 edition have not yet been communicated by the organizing association uto.Pia. Based on previous editions, the event is traditionally scheduled for the second half of August, featuring live concerts, sound systems, a wellness area, children's spaces, and food stalls with free admission. This page will be updated with official information as soon as it becomes available.
